Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Sandro Pitzanti
Sandro Pitzanti

Sandro Pitzanti raised under the gun and right next to him Kees van Brugge made the call. Sorel Mizzi in the big blind came along for the ride as well.

The dealer spread {7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{A-Spades} and Mizzi checked. Pitzanti made a bet of 80,000. Van Brugge called, Mizzi folded.

The {4-Hearts} fell on the turn and Pitzanti, with about 280,000 behind at this time, checked. Van Brugge over shoved all in and after about 30 seconds of thinking, Pitzanti made the call.

Kees van Brugge: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}
Sandro Pitzanti: {A-Hearts}{5-Spades}

Pitzanti needed to hit a six to stay alive, but wouldn't: {10-Hearts} on the river. Pitzanti hit the rail in 11th place, netting him €14,650. 10 players remain.

More For Van Riet

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Pim van Riet raised from the cutoff to 39,000 and Sorel Mizzi three-bet from the button to 91,000. Van Riet called with ease and the flop brought out {Q-Spades}{10-Spades}{3-Spades} on which both players checked.

The turn was the {10-Diamonds} and Van Riet bet 80,000, which was called by Mizzi.

On the river the {6-Spades} hit and Van Riet bet 70,000. Mizzi grabbed the chips needed for the call, played around with them, but ultimately he folded.

Wheeler Lays it Down

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Kees van Brugge limped from the small blind and Jason Wheeler raised it up to 49,000. Van Brugge made the call and the flop brought out {J-Spades}{10-Spades}{K-Clubs}.

Van Brugge checked to Wheeler who bet 45,000, and the Dutchman quickly check-raised to 176,000.

"We could've gotten it in preflop," Wheeler sighed as he folded.

"My hand was not that good," Van Brugge responded.

"I had a monster," Wheeler said, "And I got confused with the chips, because I wanted to make it bigger pre."

Wheeler loses yet another pot and he's now one of the shorter players with 10 left.

"You Seem like an Honest Guy"

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

The first hand after the break, Sorel Mizzi opened to 45,000 under the gun and Pim van Riet in the big blind made the call. Van Riet check-called a bet of 65,000 on {10-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and insta check-called another 103,000 on the {4-Hearts} turn.

The river came the {10-Diamonds} and Van Riet bet out 160,000. Mizzi needed some time.

"Got there on the river huh? I think I had you till the river" Mizzi said. "Yes, I got the river" Van Riet answered. "I believe you" Mizzi laughed. "I show you" Van Riet promised. "Promise?" Mizzi asked, "Promise" Van Riet said with a death serious face. "You seem like an honest guy" Mizzi said seconds before folding. Van Riet kept his word; showing the {K-Spades}{10-Spades} for a full house.

Steve Warburton
Steve Warburton

It seemed as though Louis Salter had raised before the flop and Steve Warburton called from the big blind, after which we picked up the action.

The flop showed {K-Spades}{7-Clubs}{J-Clubs} when Warburton checked to Salter who bet 55,000 and his opponent check-raised to 124,000.

Salter made the call and the turn was the {3-Spades}. This time Warburton bet 179,000 and Salter made the call once more.

On the river the {A-Diamonds} hit and Warburton fired out a big bet of 328,000. Salter folded right away and Warburton picked up this pot.
