Olgun Grabs Some Back

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Ercan Olgun opened for 2,700 and was called by Hakan Demiriciloglu and from the big blind by Jacoues Torbey. They saw a flop of {4-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. Torbey checked and Olgun continued for 3,400 only to get called by both players. A {k-Spades} on the turn and a bet from Olgun of 11,400 got through.

Five-Bet Pot

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Ercan Olgun had opened preflop to about 3,000 before Bartlomiej Kowalowka made it 6,500 in position behind him. Olgun responded by four-betting to 11,600 but Kowalowka virtually clicked it back again to 17,600 with about 45,000 behind. Interestingly, Olgun opted to flat-call, seeing a {2-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop and checking it to the Polish player. Kowalowka bet 12,200 and after about two minutes, Olgun decided to fold.

Astapau Eliminates Scott

Kara Scott

On the river of a {J-Spades}{4-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} board, Aston Astapau put in enough chips in the middle to cover Kara Scott. The latter had around 25,000 left and tanked for about 30 seconds before making the call. Astapau flipped {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts} for a rivered straight, Scott tapped the table and made her way to the rail.

Clock Called on Ofer Stern

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

On a board of {k-Spades}{10-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{8-Clubs} Aleksandr Shcherbinin thought for a long time before betting 15,000 from the small blind. The action was back to Ofer Stern who took even longer to think. So long that Rami Shouman called the clock on him. Given a minute to act he waited until the floor announced “Three seconds.” before betting enough to put Shcherbinin all in. Shcherbinin thought some more but folded before the clock was called on him.

Hairabedian Out

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Frenchman Roger Hairabedian is one of the first exits today. Elsewhere Necip Ferengizbilge just doubled up to 12,000 after his short-stack shove with {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} found Tomas Fara calling with {K-Clubs}{J-Spades} and the board coming {A-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{7-Spades}. "It's changed my life!" Ferengizbilge sarcastically said.

Early All In and Call

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Jacques Torbey opened for 3,600 and was raised by Bartlomiej Kowalowka to 9,600. Oleg Suntsov then moved all in for 19,600. Back to Torbey who asked how much Kowalowka was playing and folded. Kowalowka made the call and showed {q-Hearts}{q-Spades} against Suntsov’s {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}. The board ran out {3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{a-Spades}{8-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and Suntsov got an early double up.
