That Sinc-ing Feeling

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

An unorthodox move just almost won Hüsnü Sincar a lot of chips but instead, he's gotten pretty unlucky to drop to about 260,000.

Sincar had called Ergenyi Taranuk's raise preflop before open-shoving the {Q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop, despite there only being around 10,000 in the pot and Taranuk having about 70,000 behind.

Taranuk called with {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} but found to his astonishment that Sincar held {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} for a set of eights. No matter, the Russian hit running {7-Diamonds} and {6-Diamonds} to backdoor into a flush and double up to around 160,000.

The C-Rheem Always Rises

Chino Rheem
Chino Rheem

Andrey Shatilov fired out a bet of 95,000 after Chino Rheem checked the {J-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop. The button folded but Rheem made the call to see the {8-Clubs} turn which both players checked.

Rheem led out for 23,000 on the river, it looked as though Shatilov was going to fold but suddenly he declared, "Call." Rheem flipped {J-Spades}{3-Spades} and the Russian silently mucked his hand.

Tuan Le Doubles Up

Tuan Le has a little more breathing room after doubling up and eliminating İgor Tkachuk in the process.

The chips went in preflop, Le holding {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and Tkachuk {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}. Le stayed in front on the {6-Clubs}{10-Spades}{2-Spades} flop and was still ahead by the time the {8-Diamonds} turn and {7-Spades} river had been dealt.

Le is up to 87,000 chips.

To the Victor Go The Spoils

Abou Saleh Elias is out and heading to the rail muttering to himself after he lost with {A-Spades}{K-Hearts} to Victor Paraschiv's {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades} when the board came {8-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}{3-Clubs}{4-Spades}.

Paraschiv now has about 250,000 which will put him amongst the leading pack for now.

Fakih Eliminated

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Salim Fakih has just been sent to the rail by [Removed:2]. The latter had opened from the cutoff and then called when Fakih, on the button, moved all-in for around 20,000.

Maksoud showed {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and found himself up against the lowly {10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and when the board ran out {k-Spades}{5-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{q-Clubs} it was game over for Fakih.

We are down to 70 in the Main Event.

Royal Flush Girl Sonia Yasmin Ali feat. Mad Marvin

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Royal Flush Girl Sonia Yasmin Ali is certainly not just a pretty face; and Marvin Rettenmaier has many talents outside of poker. The two take some time out from the WPT Merit Cyprus Classic to perform an acoustic cover of Emeli Sande's 'Next to Me'.

Cajelais Russian to Victory

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Erik Cajelais
Erik Cajelais

Erik Cajelais check-raised Andrey Shatilov from 4,300 to 10,500 on a flop of {Q-Spades}{8-Spades}{2-Diamonds}, the Russian did not seem completely sure what to do but eventually opted to just flat-call.

Cajelais then led out for 18,000 - astute viewers might have noticed the very slightest bit of trembling fingers. Shatilov took a deep breath himself and elected this time to fold.
