Finger Catches Fortunate Double Up

Martin Finger
Martin Finger

There was a raise to 4,000 from under the gun and his raise started off a whole lot of action!

First Maxin Panyak, seated to Romanovskyi's direct left, made the call, then Said Chichba called two to his left. Hakan Dalokay folded and the action was on Martin Finger. He composed himself before moving all in for 24,700 chips.

[Removed:167] was in the small blind and he re-shoved in an attempt to isolate Finger and his plan worked as the other active players folded their hands.

Ehrhardt:{J-Spades}{J-Hearts}
Finger:{8-Hearts}{8-Spades}

Finger was in serious danger of being sent to the rail but he must have made a sacrifice to the Poker Gods this morning as the board ran out {7-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} gifting Finger the most unlikely of straights and he now has a workable 53,000 stack.

Jeilbreak

Chadi Ojeil has a great record here in Cyprus but he's just been eliminated from the WPT. All in with {A-Spades}{5-Clubs} against Manig Loeser's {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, he was ahead but then the German flopped the joint when the board came {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Clubs}.

Loeser had a tough day one, but he's doing well here, up to 280,000.

Mizrachi Snares Himself A Fox

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

A preflop raising war between Robert Mizrachi and Stuart Fox broke out that with Mizrachi in the small blind and Fox in the hijack. Mizrachi had a 16,000 bet in front of him and was deciding how to respond to Stuart Fox putting in a raise of his own; this raise was for an additional 20,300 chips.

Mizrachi eventually called and it was heads-up to the {10-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} flop. Despite the aggressive preflop action, both players checked the flop but when the {10-Diamonds} landed on the turn Mizrachi lead out with a 24,000 bet and Fox quickly released his hand.

Speaking of Mizrachi, check out this interview we did with him earlier today.

Chips Counts Of The Rich And Famous

Manig Certainly Not A Loeser

Manig Loeser
Manig Loeser

German pro Manig Loeser is flying high and is now approaching a quarter of a million chips, thanks in part to a huge pot won from [Removed:2].

The board read {q-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} and Maksoud checked over to pristine-white shirted Loeser who bet 27,100 into a pot containing over 100,000 chips. Maksoud took the bait and moved all-in and a calm and collected Loeser said,"I call," and showed {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for the nut flush, much to the annoyance of Maksoud.

Mizrachi Moves Up

Perhaps it's sometimes forgotten that it was fact Robert Mizrachi of the famous clan that was the first to win a WSOP bracelet. His steady ascent is continuing as he just had a 19,000 bet paid off on the river of a {J-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{9-Clubs} board but an opponent.

Mizrachi showed {J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} - just the nuts then. He's got about 200,000

Sincar, Tailor, Solider, Spy

Hüsnü Sincar
Hüsnü Sincar

It's the biggest pot of the tournament so far and its gone to Hüsnü Sincar. Chino Rheem had raised then four-bet against Sincar's reraise to see a {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop. Rheem continued his aggression there but Sincar called to see the {J-Clubs} on the turn.

Rheem moved all in and Sincar snap-called.

Rheem: {A-}{7-}
Sincar: {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}

The river was the {J-Diamonds} and Sincar hit a huge double up, Rheem meanwhile, has gone out to have a cigarette break.

Back-To-Back Loses For Nitsche

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Dominik Nitsche has not had the best of starts since coming back from the last break; but the young German still has 150,000 chips at his disposal.

The first saw him raise Elias Abou Saleh's 7,600 bet to 17,500 on a {10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop but then quickly fold when Abou Saleh came over the top again and made it 36,600 to play.

Then the very next hand Nitsche opened to 4,000 from middle position and found callers in the shape of Tuan Le (small blind) and Alexey Popov (big blind). The flop came down {10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{7-Spades} and the action checked to Nitsche, who bet 6,500. Only Le called and it was heads-up to the {6-Spades} turn. Le checked and Nitsche checked behind.

Fifth street was the {a-Diamonds} and Le tapped the table and checked, Nitsche checked too and then mucked when Le showed {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for a turned straight.
