Congratulations to Charles "Woody" Moore, WSOP-C Indiana Champion ($99,878)!

What a day it was. At the beginning of the day, only nine hopefuls remained from the starting field of 289 that began a couple of days ago here in this World Series of Poker Circuit Main Event at Horseshoe Southern Indiana.

When it came down to heads-up play, the two players that final tabled the first Circuit event this season in Council Bluffs, Iowa were left to do battle for the title. Kevin Calenzo and Charles "Woody" Moore began heads-up play after John Holder went out in third with Moore having the chip lead. Calenzo battled and battled, but could never actually take the chip lead from Moore, who used his experience on the felt to grind down Calenzo.

The final hand was a classic race situation with two jacks against ace-king. Moore held the jacks and he was able to out run his younger counterpart to claim the gold championship ring, the $99,878 first-place prize and the guaranteed seat in the National Championship next Spring.

Also of note is that Kevin Manley performed better than everyone else here in Indiana in order to earn the most points. He will also receive an entry into the National Championship held in Las Vegas at the end of the season.

That wraps up our coverage from here in Indiana for this stop along the newly revamped WSOP Circuit. We'll be taking a tiny break for a few days and then it's off to Hammond for the next stop on the Circuit. Don't forget that event has a $1,500 Main Event and a $10,000 Regional Championship!

From everyone here at PokerNews, thanks for following along and we hope to be covering you at the next final table!
