Kaemmerlen Doubles Through Fouksman

Pete Kaemmerlen moved all in from under the gun and Eugene Fouksman called behind him. The blinds released and the hands were tabled.

Kaemmerlen: {10-Hearts} {10-Diamonds}
Fouksman: {A-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds}

The flop ran {10-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} {2-Spades} giving Kaemmerlen top set. The turn made things interesting when it came {K-Diamonds} giving Fouksman straight and flush draws. But he would whiff when the {A-Spades} came on the river and Kaemmerlen doubled up.

Fouksman: {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}
Linster: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}

Linster kept his lead on the flop of {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades} but fell behind when the {J-Diamonds} turned. The board completed with a {4-Hearts} on the river and Linster was sent home, collecting $16,146 in winnings.

Fouksman is now sitting on about 1,500,000 in chips.

Tuan Phan Eliminated in 8th Place ($12,695)

Tuan Phan - 8th Place
Tuan Phan - 8th Place

Tuan Phan opened the action by moving all in for a bit over 100,000. Christopher Bonn called and the blinds got out of the way. Phan tabled {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}.

"I've got your hand," said Bonn, flipping over {Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.

The most dramatic flop possible proceeded to peel off the deck, falling {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, giving Phan two pair and Bonn a flush. The {3-Hearts} came on the turn and Phan was in need of one of the remaining aces or sevens. Unfortunately for Phan, the river was the {10-Hearts} and he was sent home in 8th place.

Bonn Finds Revenge on Phan

Eugene Fouksman raised to 35,000 from under the gun and received a call from Tuan Phan. Christopher Bonn stacked his chips and moved his entire stack to the middle. Fouksman got out of the way while Phan pondered his action.

"You've got a small pocket pair," said Phan "I know you have small pocket pair. We never lose this hand, we never lose. Alright, I call." Phan turned up the {Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and was indeed racing with Bonn's {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}.

The flop came {8-Spades}{4-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and Phan's rail was cheering for a queen. Fourth street brought the {A-Diamonds} and Bonn was one card away from a double up. The {7-Diamonds} rivered and Bonn was able to scoop the pot, leaving Phan crippled once again.

Ken Silverstein Makes Quad Aces
Ken Silverstein Makes Quad Aces

Ken Silverstein opened the action from the cutoff with a raise to 37,000. Ont the button, Tuan Phan thought for a moment before pushing out a raise to 100,000. Action folded back around to Silverstein four-bet to 260,000. Phan called and the two saw a flop of {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{4-Spades}.

Silverstein waited a moment before pushing out a bet of 300,000. Phan sat looking at the board for about thirty seconds before announcing that he was all in. Silverstein snap called and threw up {A-Spades}{A-Hearts} for top set. Phan, however, had outs with his {10-Spades}{5-Spades}.

Fourth street came {3-Diamonds} and Phan was hoping for a spade. The dealer rapped the table. {A-Clubs}. Silverstein managed to make quads and effectively crippled Tuan Phan, resulting in the largest pot of the tournament. Silverstein is now a commanding chip lead with about 2,300,000.

The very next hand Eugene Fouksman raised to 35,000 and Phan moved all in for 60,000 total. Fouksman called with the {A-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and was ahead of Phan's {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. However, Phan was able to spike the {Q-Diamonds} on the turn and double up.
