Can't Bluff Djokovic

Jeff Joseph opened to 22,000 from middle position, Javier Fernandez called near the button, a player in the small blind called, and Avdo Djokovic defended his big blind. All four players checked the {6-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop, and the turn was the {k-Diamonds}. The action checked to Joseph who fired 38,000, and only Djokovic called.

The river was the {5-Clubs}, and Djokovic checked a third time. Joseph slid out 64,000, and Djokovic quickly called. Once Djokovic's chips hit the felt, Joseph's cards hit the muck, and Djokovic proudly turned over {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for a pair of jacks.

Double Knockout - OMG

Ashira Lavine and Mustafa Ali were all in and at risk against Jeff Wilker moments ago. Ali had the lead, but not for long.

Showdown
Lavine: {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Ali: {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Wilker: {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

The {2-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{a-Spades} flop kept Ali in the lead, and the {4-Hearts} on the turn was a brick, but the {5-Diamonds} slammed on the river, giving Wilker a flush and knocking out both Ali and Lavine.

"Diamonds are forever," someone at the table commented.

Truong Flushes, Rubino Boats

From across the room we saw Hung Truong slide in 200,000 after the flop and we hightailed it over there. The flop was {Q-Diamonds} {2-Spades} {A-Spades} and Truong committed enough chips to put Tom Rubino all in. Rubino called and tabled {Q-Clubs} {Q-Hearts}. Truong was on a draw holding {10-Spades} {9-Spades}.

The board finished {7-Hearts} {7-Spades} and Rubino's full house took the pot.

AAnthony Zinno Doubles

A player opened to 16,000 from early position, Anthony Zinno called on the button, and Danny Rohde three-bet to 57,000 from the small blind. Only Zinno called. The flop came down {3-Spades}{8-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, and Rohde open-shipped for effectively 191,000. Zinno snap-called.

Showdown
Rohde: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Zinno: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}

Rohde was drawing dead after the {4-Spades} turned, and the {q-Hearts} completed the board. Zinno shipped a massive double, while Rohde is back under 300,000 chips.

Ali Makes Liberal Call

Steve Karp open-shoved for his last 59,000 chips, and the action folded to Mustafa Ali in the big blind. Ali tanked for quite along time, until finally a player at the table called the clock.

"Don't call the clock," Ali urged the player.

"You're taking forever," the player responded.

A floor person arrived at the table, and began the countdown. There were only ten seconds left when Ali chose to commit enough chips to make the call.

Showdown
Karp: {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Ali: {7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}

"You waited that long with THAT???" a player quipped.

Ali stole the lead when the flop fell {5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}, and the {6-Spades} gave him an open-ended straight draw for kicks and giggles. Karp was one foot out the door, but the {j-Diamonds} spiked on the river, keeping him alive for the moment.

Karp is back over 100,000 chips, while Ali is down near 80,000.
