2011-12 World Series of Poker Circuit Event - Choctaw Durant
Irving, Texas' Christobal Romano has emerged from the masses as one of the chip leaders here in Durant.
He told PokerNews he's been paid off with a straight, two-pair, a set and a number of other decent holdings on the way to a stack around 215k now half way through the Main Event's 13th level

Layne Flack has turned things around here in Choctaw and now has it up over 160k.
In his latest triumphant effort, Flack picked on big stack Teddy Gill who had it up over 200,000 at one point.
Gill called a standard open from Flack sitting on the button, and after the

flop, he flatted a 6,700 Flack C-Bet.
The turn brought the
and a check from Flack. But when Gill fired out 7,500, Flack check-raised it up to 21,000. Gill flatted again, and after the
river, Flack threw out a 22k bet.
Gill called again, but groaned and showed a four when Flack turned over
for the turned boat.

Cards are back in the air following the first break of the day.
Level: 13
Blinds: 800/1,600
Ante: 200
After three levels of play the field has been sent on their first break of the day.
We found Justin Jones in the back of the room with a pretty obscene looking stack at this stage of the tournament. Jones returned today with under 50,000 and is now up over 200,000. He told us picked up about 80,000 of when he was in the big blind holding pocket tens and the under the gun player went a little nuts. The details were sketchy but the aforementioned UTG player is no longer at the table.

A short stacked Scotty Nguyen got it in with the best of it, but it all went downhill from there.
The Prince of Poker defended his big blind against a 3,200 late position raise, then shipped in his final 8,300 when the

flop fell.
The original raiser made the call felting
and was behind against Scotty's
, but the
turn changed that rather fast.
The
river was just one pip away from giving Scotty a set and a double up, but it was not to be and the 1998 WSOP Main Event champ hit the rail.

Michael Sanders returned today with a stack of 56,000 and we found him sitting on around 140,000. Sanders told us that he gained most of the chips in a blind vs. blind, all-in preflop battle where he held pocket sevens. He said "I dodged a ton of outs and took nearly a 100,000 chip pot."
His opponent held
and the flop came
with two diamonds. The turn paired the board with another nine, but then bricked on the river with a black three.

Tommy Vedes continues to mix it up here at the Choctaw Casino, now up around 120k.
We recently caught him calling a late position pre-flop raise by Ben Logan while sitting in the small blind.
He check-called another 4,600 after the

flop, but when the
turn fell, both players checked.
Vedes took the lead on the
river, making it 13,200 to have a look at his holdings, but Logan wasn't up to the task, laying it down and leaving the pot to Tommy.
