Failla Short

Will Failla opened to 17,000 in the cutoff and Adam Teasdale defended his big blind.

The {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop was checked by both players, landing the {8-Spades} on the turn. Teasdale bet 20,000, Failla popped it to 45,000, and Teasdale called to see the {2-Hearts} river. A check from Teasdale led to a bet of 60,000 from Failla, which Teasdale called after a few moments.

"You win," said Failla.

Teasdale tabled {A-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and Failla sent his cards to the muck.

Valerstein Vanquished; Jablonski, Kerstetter Continue

We just had a three-way all in involving a trio of short stacks — Stan Jablonski, Roman Valerstein, and Jamie Kerstetter.

Valerstein got things started with an all-in push from middle position, and Kerstetter reraised all in from a seat over. It then folded back to Jablonski who called all in from the blinds with the 40,000 or so he had left.

Jablonski: {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Valerstein: {K-Clubs}{J-Spades}
Kerstetter: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

The flop came {Q-Hearts}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}, and all were remarking on Jablonski's double-gutter draw. Then the {5-Hearts} fell on the turn, and the conversation turned to flushes. Then came the river... the {8-Hearts}! Jablonski hit his flush to survive with a triple-up, while Kerstetter essentially broke even on the hand.

Meanwhile, Valerstein hits the rail in 44th place for a cash of $3,604.

Fishberg Takes Out Buzgon

Dan Buzgon shoved from early position for about 75,000 and found action from Gregory Fishberg in the small blind.

Fishberg: {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}
Buzgon: {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}

The board ran out {A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} to pair Fishberg's ace and eliminate Buzgon.

Diaz Done

David Diaz just open-raised all in for about 95,000 from middle position, and when it folded around to Douglas MacKinnon on the button he reraised all in over the top. The blinds got out, and the players tabled their cards...

Diaz: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}
MacKinnon: {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}

The {10-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop was safe for Diaz's queens, but the {K-Clubs} fell on the turn to put MacKinnon in front. The river then brought the {6-Clubs}, and Diaz was eliminated.

Teasdale Knocks Out Ruane

Michael Ruane was just all in and at risk with {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts} versus the {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} of Adam Teasdale.

The {4-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{10-Spades} gave Teasdale a set but provided flush possibilities for Ruane. But the turn was the {6-Clubs} and the river the {K-Clubs}, and Ruane hits the rail in 49th place for a cash of $3,280.

Baumstein Busts Villa

All in for about 95,000 with {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}, Justin Villa was racing against the {J-Spades}{J-Hearts} of Scott Baumstein. The board ran out {Q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}, keeping Baumstein's jacks ahead to score the elimination.
