Zhao Zings Le

Suzie Zhao has one of the toughest seats in the room, sitting right between monster stacks David Randall and Nam Le. However, she's certainly holding her own, as we just saw her take a big pot from Le.

We caught up with the two on the flop, which read {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. There was already 50,000 in the middle, and Le had checked to Zhao, who fired 33,000. Le tanked for about 90 seconds before calling, and the turn was the {q-Diamonds}. Le checked again, and Zhao didn't slow down, firing 78,000 into the middle. Le took a couple minutes to think before tapping the table and releasing his hand.

After that one, Zhao jumps to 281,000, while Le drops down to 205,000.

A Challenger Appears

David Malka
David Malka

It looked for a while like Joe Tehan would run away with the tournament, but not if David Malka has anything to say about it. We saw Malka sitting at the same table as James Woods with a monster stack.

Malka began the day on a short stack, with only 32,400, but he's slowly and surely built it up to what it is now.

Looks like Tehan may have a challenger.

Randall Keeps Stacking Em

David Randall
David Randall

David Randall moved to one of the toughest tables in the field (has Nam Le, Suzie Zhao, and Jay "WhoJedi" Newnum) with about 140,000. Despite the bad draw, Randall has crushed the table, chipping up to over 400,000. We just caught the hand that got him to that plateau.

There was 35,000 in the middle on a board that read {2-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{j-Clubs}, and Randall had checked to his lone opponent. That player fired out 16,500, and it was back on Randall. He tanked for about 30 seconds before cutting out a stack of blue T5,000 chips, and putting in a raise to 62,000. His opponent quickly called, and Randall tabled {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} for a full house. His opponent mucked, and Randall was all smiles as he raked in the massive pot.

Doug Lee Chipping Up

On a flop of {Q-Spades}{5-Spades}{10-Clubs}, Doug Lee moved all in for around 95,000, with roughly 30,000 in the pot.

After some tanking from his two opponents, they both folded and Lee raked in the pot for move up to around 125,000.

Cooler for Taylor

We didn't see the hand, but we saw Michael Taylor nursing a short stack after having a healthy amount earlier in the day.

Apparently he ran {Q-}{Q-} in to {K-}{K-} for a 250,000 chip pot. We'll keep an eye out and see if he doubles, or ducks out quickly.

Bundy's Coming For You

Jason Bundy
Jason Bundy

Jason Bundy just got some chips back, a lot of chips back.

Preflop, Bundy made a raise from the button, and was reraised by the small blind to 20,000. Bundy made the call and it was off to the flop which was {Q-Hearts}{7-Spades}{Q-Spades}.

The small blind quickly went all in for around 70,000 and Bundy called even quicker.

Small Blind: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Bundy: {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

The turn {2-Spades}, and the river {A-Clubs}, were no help to the player in the small blind and he was eliminated from the tournament.

Bundy meanwhile kissed his chips and looked at the player who bluffed him earlier.

"I'm coming for you now," he said.
