Flight 1b Chip Leader Continues His Reign

We just recently caught up with the flight 1b chip leader Jason Bundy. He isn't the chip leader today, but he isn't too far behind Joe Tehan. So far today he's almost doubled his stack and is up to around 295,000.

Lindley Leaves The Room

We didn't catch the hand as it happened, but a short stacked Christina Lindley got the rest of her chips in preflop holding {a-}{q-}. Unfortunately for her, the big blind woke up with {a-}{k-}, and she was unable to improve.

In addition to Lindley, Allen Le has also been eliminated.

Deeb Donezo

Last year's champ is gone, and it wasn't pretty for Deeb.

All in before the flop for an unspecified amount, Deeb showed us his holdings, {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}.

On the flop of {K-Clubs}{6-Spades}{8-Hearts} a player on the button had bet 12,000, and Doug Lee called from early position.

"I'm still drawing live to an Ace I think," Deeb told us. "I think that guy probably has a king. The other guy is steaming, he doesn't have anything."

On the {Q-Spades} turn, action went check, check between Lee and the other player.

"I picked up four extra outs," Deeb said to us.

Then, on the {9-} river, Deeb stood up from the table to walk away.

The player on the button showed, {9-Spades}{7-Spades} for a rivered pair, and Doug Lee mucked.

"I was doing great against that hand," Deeb said as he walked away.

And with that, we will have a new champ.

Tehan Takes The Chip Lead

We didn't catch the hand that bumped him up, but when we saw Joe Tehan, he was all smiles with a mountain of chips in front of him. It took us about a minute to count it all up, and by our estimations, he has about 320,000, which is easily the chip lead at the moment.

Nam Nails The River

Nam Le raised it up in early position, and the small blind moved all in for 15,000. Le made the call with {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}, but he was well behind his opponent's {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}. The flop and turn didn't help Le, coming down {5-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{a-Spades}. However, the {10-Hearts} hit the river, giving Le two pair and the winning hand.

After that pot, Le is one of our chip leaders with 168,000.

Set Sends Cheung Packing

Robert Cheung got the rest of his 30,000 stack in the middle against two opponents. Cheong held {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}, and he was drawing very live, as his opponents held {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}. However, the {j-Spades} came on the flop, and Cheong was unable to catch up, ending his day early.

Randall's Set Sends Him A Double

Just a few minutes after taking a big pot off of Bobby Suer, David Randall has done it again, securing a big double up. We caught the action on the turn, with the board showing {7-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{9-Spades}. Both players checked, and the river was the {5-Spades}.

With about 35,000 already in the middle, Randall moved all in for 33,100. Suer went deep into the tank, and after at least three minutes of thinking, he found a call. Randall tabled {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} for a flopped set, and it was good enough to take the pot, as Suer angrily mucked his hand.

After that pot, Suer is down to 10,000, while Randall jumps up to 105,000.
