Drobes Done

Level 21 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

After an opening raise to 16,000 by Kory Kilpatrick, Scott Drobes called from the cutoff seat, then Larry Gurney called as well from the button and Raymond Gollahon called, too, from the big blind.

The four players saw the flop come {2-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, and when checked to Kilpatrick continued for 22,000. Drobes then shoved all in over that for 138,000 total, and after a pause Gurney let his hand go.

Gollahon then reraised all in from the big blind for about 170,000, which forced Kilpatrick out of the hand. Drobes shook his head as he saw Gollahon table his cards — {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} for a flopped set.

"Ah... I'm literally drawing dead," said Drobes, showing his {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}. "Looked like a good flop for that," he added as the dealer delivered the meaningless turn and river. Drobes wished the table good luck, saying he hoped one of them would win the tournament, and left to collect his winnings for finishing 59th.

Motes Bombs River

Level 21 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Gregory Motes opened to 20,000 on the button. Kory Kilpatrick called in the small blind, James Kinney called in the big blind, and the flop came {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}. Both blinds checked, Motes continued for 35,000, and only Kilpatrick called.

The turn was the {5-Diamonds}, both players checked, and the {j-Clubs} completed the board. Kilpatrick checked a third time, and Motes grabbed all of his green T25,000 chips, firing a hefty 150,000-chip bet.

Kilpatrick fumbled all of the orange T1,000 chips he was shuffling at the site of the bet, and then tank-folded.

Tian Taken Down

Level 21 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

James Tian has been eliminated in 64th place after putting his last chips at risk before the flop with {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} and needing to improve against the {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} of Charles Tidmarsh.

The board ran out {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, and Tian is out.

Menard No More

Level 21 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Jeremy Menard was short-stacked when he moved all in with {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} preflop. Fernando Tobal called with {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}, and the flop was a fun one: {9-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. Menard flopped a pair of jacks, but any ace or heart would give Tobal the lead once again.

The {a-Spades} turned, giving Tobal the lead. and the {5-Clubs} completed the board. Menard was eliminated, while Tobal now sits with 225,000 chips.

Level 20 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Mark Handy had him at risk with {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}, and flopped a pair when the dealer spread {9-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. The pair of jacks held as the turn and river came {a-Spades}, {5-Clubs} respectively, and Pinkston was eliminated.

Handy now has 225,000 chips.

Set of Redicks

Level 20 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

John Bowman opened to 13,000 from early position, Jerry Barlow, Kyle Cartwright, and Hoa Nguyen all called.

The flop fell {q-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, Nguyen checked, and Bowman continued for 17,000. Only Cartwright called.

The turn was the {8-Clubs}, both players checked, and the {7-Hearts} completed the board. Bowman fired 38,000, and Cartwright made the call. Bowman ripped over {4-Hearts}{4-Spades} for a flopped set of fours, and Cartwright mucked his hand.

Kinney Killing

Level 20 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Several more bustouts to report, as Bryan Dillon, Karl Baldock, Charles Cox, and Danny Bavongkhoun are among the min-cashers.

Meanwhile James Kinney is enjoying a heater of sorts over on Table 2, having pushed all of the way up close to 550,000 now.
