El Otmani With the Straight

Level 1 : 25/50, 0 ante

Toni Dieguez and Houcine El Otmani got involved in a little hand as we walked by and the Spaniard called a bet on the turn of a {J-Hearts} {10-Hearts} {3-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} board before the {6-Diamonds} river got checked through. Dieguez was first to show and flipped over the {A-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds} for a double gutshot that didn't arrive, but it was soon mucked when El Otmani flipped over the {7-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} for a straight.

Welcome to the WSOP Circuit Main Event in Marrakech

WSOP Circuit Marrakech
WSOP Circuit Marrakech

For the very first time, the World Series of Poker has been heading to Morocco to host the 2015 WSOP International Circuit Casino de Marrakech from March 7th to 15th 2015. The festival provides a total of 32 tournaments including eight "Ring Events".

The first starting day of the Circuit Main Event at the Casino Es Saadi gets underway in 30 minutes from now at 2 p.m. local time. All players receive 30,000 in chips in exchange for 15,000 Dirhams or €1,350. Should a participant run out of chips early, a single re-entry per day can be used to enter the competition once again, resulting in four bullets max as worst case scenario.

With cheap flights from France, Belgium, Spain and Portugal, many of these nationalities are expected to join the local crowd here in Morocco. Furthermore, Ben Warrington and Matas Cimbolas have already participated in the €540 No-Limit Hold'em Deepstack already and will most likely also try to earn a WSOP Circuit Ring in the Main Event as well.

Each Day 1 features levels of 45 minutes whereas as of Day 2 the level duration increases to 60 minutes and 75 minutes as of Day 3. The winner will be crowned on Sunday March 15th and the PokerNews team will be there to bring you all the good and bad beats from the felt.
