Benkirane Bust

Level 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Amina Benkirane
Amina Benkirane

Anas Tadini was down to his last 10 big blinds and couldn't spin that up anymore. Amina Benkirane had more chips but shares the same fate after calling a three-bet to 6,000 and seeing a flop of {10-Clubs} {8-Clubs} {5-Diamonds}. Benkirane called a continuation bet of 6,200 by Gonzalo da Costa Ferrao and then pushed the {5-Spades} turn with ace-king.

Unfortunately, da Costa Ferrao snap-called with {5-Clubs} {5-Hearts} for quads and the {K-Hearts} river was already meaningless.

Guyon Gone

Level 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Adrien Guyon four-bet shoved his stack of 30,000 chips with {A-} {Q-} and ran straight into pocket aces, sending the Winamax Poker Pro to the rail in dry fashion.

Hello Halliez

Level 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

A new player had arrived at the table of Dimitri Halliez and the runner-up of Event #11 was gifted the stack of 20 big blinds with pocket kings versus {K-Spades} {9-Spades}. The Frenchman folded {7-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} to a four-bet shortly after but his recent run-good has not gone unnoticed.

Two More Big Stacks

Level 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Soufiane Abbouti just knocked out a short stack on his table with pocket sevens after finding the {7-Spades} on the board and is up to more than five times the starting stack. Gabriel Jimenez has even more than that and one big pot may catapult either player into the chip lead.

Averso Puts on Show

Level 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Olivier Averso has been opening a lot of pots and that didn't go unnoticed at his table. The player from one seat over three-bet to 5,100 and "TracyChatman" then four-bet to 11,500 out of the small blind. He was rewarded with the fold of a {K-Clubs} and couldn't resist, flashing his {8-Hearts} {3-Hearts}.

At the same table is another familiar face of the poker circuit in Kuljinder Sidhu, who is also up to six digits already.

Unusual Penalty for Tito

Level 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

In a heads-up pot, El Gran Tito open-folded the river and then picked up the cards of his opponent and turned them over. Floor was called and the Spaniard took a four-hand penalty. That doesn't really come with a good timing, as the Spaniard is quite short on just around 10 big blinds.

Going up Slightly

Level 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

While players bust left and right, Fahd Bennani Smires had kept his emotions under control and more than doubled up his short stack. Now another challenge lays ahead of him in the person of Anas Tadini. One table over, Matas Cimbolas even took down his headphones for a proper poker picture!

Battle of the Blinds (not) for Warrington

Level 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

A somewhat larger pot emerged between Ben Warrington and the opponent from one seat over when the two of them got involved into a battle of the blinds on a board of {J-Hearts} {6-Spades} {10-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {9-Clubs}. Warrington check-called a bet of 12,500 on the turn and then checked the river.

The Brit held {J-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} but it was no good against the {J-Clubs} {6-Hearts} of his opponent.

Uyanik Gets Screwed

Level 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Suat Uyanik had a shorter-stacked opponent at risk for a pot of 90,000 chips with {A-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} and faced {A-Hearts} {K-Hearts} on the other side of the table. The board ran out {6-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} {2-Hearts} {5-Spades} {9-Hearts} and the opponent made a flush to double through.
