Martin Kabrhel's Multi-Tabling Adventure Comes to a Close

Level 7 : 200/400, 50 ante

To the amusement of his tablemates in the Main Event, Martin Kabrhel has been dashing back and forth from the Six Max to the Main Event as he plays in both.

In what was only his fourth hand in the main event, and having shoved from the big blind the hand before and gotten no callers, Emrah Cakmak opened to 1,000 and there was one caller on the button. Kabrhel then moved all in for just over starting stack, around 77 big blinds. Cakmak called and the button folded.

Cakmak: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Kabrhel: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}

The board ran out {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Spades}{6-Clubs} giving Cakmak a full house, and resigned Kabrhel to a decidedly uneventful one-table adventure for the time being. It remains to be seen whether Kabrhel will be making another appearance in the Main Event later, or perhaps will wait until start of play tomorrow.

Mahyar Rezai Finds It Hard To Swallow

Level 7 : 200/400, 50 ante

Back from the dinner break and Stefano Grandinetti bet 2,000 on the flop of {8-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{2-Spades} and got a call from Mahyar Rezai and one more player.

The turn card was the {5-Hearts} and a check from Grandinetti was met with a 5,000bet from Rezai. The third player folded but Grandinetti called.

The river card was the {9-Clubs} and Grandinetti bet 12,900. Rezai looked pained and after several minutes thought, during which he apologised for taking so long, he let his cards go.

Staszko, Don’t Call It A Come Back

Level 6 : 150/300, 25 ante

Martin Staszko had done much to repair the earlier losses to his stack when the following hand took place.

Three players saw a flop of {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades} and small blind Staszko led out for 4,500. That got one fold but Jan Timo Jobmann called.

The turn was the {6-Spades} and Staszko fired again for 5,500. Once more Jobmann called and the river was the {2-Diamonds}.

Staszko reached for chips and Jobmann grabbed a stack of his own in response. Staszko assembled his bet and put forward 7,600 and Jobmann gave it up.

Dave Kroon Eliminated by Krasimir Yankov

Level 6 : 150/300, 25 ante

Krasimir Yankov opened to 700 from early position. Dave Kroon three-bet to 2,100 and Yankov called.

The flop came {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}. Yankov checked to Kroon who bet 2,000 and Yankov called.

On the {8-Spades} turn Yankov again check-called a bet of 5,000.

The river was the {2-Spades} and Yankov checked for a third time. Kroon peered around the dealer from seat 1 to see his opponent who was seated in seat 9. He then moved all in for around 17,000 and Yankov snap-called.

Kroon showed {q-Clubs}{q-Spades} for a pair of queens, but Yankov held {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} for quad deuces and took down the pot, eliminating Kroon.

Misstep Leaves Elyahu Braginskyi Short

Level 6 : 150/300, 25 ante

All the money went in on the turn of a board reading {9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{q-Spades}{2-Spades}.

Vito Vella was the player at risk but they had similar stacks and Vella held top set {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}. The unfortunate Elyahu Braginskyi had {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}.

The river was the {j-Diamonds} and Braginskyi was left shaking his head and counting what was left of his stack.

Tom Holke Gives Some Back

Level 6 : 150/300, 25 ante

There was an open to 600 from early position and a call from Robert Bukala before big stack Tom Holke raised it up to 1,500. The original raiser folded but Bukala came along for the ride.

The flop was {8-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and a check from Bukala saw a bet of 1,700 from Holke. Bukala asked him if he had a hand and got the reply, “Monster draw,”

Bukala called and the turn card was the {8-Clubs}. No action on that street so they saw the river card {4-Spades} hit which prompted Holke to say, “Crazy card.”

Bukala then bet 5,300 which got an instant call from Holke who turned over his {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}. That was no good though as Bukala held {a-Clubs}{8-Spades} for turned trips.

Anna Baboshkina Bests Colillas and Erler

Level 6 : 150/300, 25 ante

Thomas Erler raised to 700 from early position. Ramon Colillas called from the hijack and Anna Baboshkina called from the big blind.

All three players checked the flop of {q-Clubs}{j-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. The turn was the {j-Hearts}. Baboshkina checked to Erler who bet 1,300 and the other two players all called.

The river was the {10-Spades} and all players checked. Baboshkina showed {j-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and the other players mucked.
