Oghabian Loses Some

Level 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Milad Oghabian just lost a bunch of chips when he raised to 1,700 from the cutoff and was called by Yehuda Cohen in the small blind. The player in the big blind three-bet to 7,000 and only Oghabian called.

The flop came {5-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}, Oghabian called the 8,000 bet of his opponent.

The turn brought them the {2-Hearts}, now the big blind continued with a bet of 10,000 without any hesitation. Oghabian counted his own stack, mumbled a bit and counted out what looked like a raise. And then he counted out what he still had left, in the end, he opted to fold.

Savinelli Sent Away Again

Level 10 : 400/800, 100 ante
Carlo Savinelli
Carlo Savinelli

Carlo Savinelli only just sat down and was seen walking away again. He was kind enough to explain what had happened:

Savinelli had queen-jack and the flop was jack-jack-ace with one club. Savinelli continued with a bet and was called by the big blind. The turn was the eight of clubs so the board was double-suited. The big blind check-shoved on the 4,000 bet of Savinelli and Savinelli called. The big blind had the ace-five of clubs and hit his club on the rive to complete his flush draw and eliminate Savinelli from the tournament.

As Savinelli didn't enter the tournament yesterday, he can still reenter before the start of Day 2 at 2 pm local time tomorrow.

Level 10 : 400/800, 100 ante
Elena Litvinyuk
Elena Litvinyuk

The board read {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and Elena Litvinyuk had checked from the hijack. The pot already contained about 20,000 in it and Cedric Adam decided to bet 9,500. Litvinyuk thought about it for a while and then decided to raise to 21,000. This put Adam in a bind and he tanked. He glanced at Litvinyuk and her stack for about two to three minutes and ended up calling. Litvinyuk showed {q-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for a pair of tens but she was beaten by the {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} of Adam as he had hit top pair on the flop.
