Four players built a pot of 3,000 up, and saw a 
flop together. Action checked to Leonard Ferguson in middle position, and he bet 1,500. The cutoff raised to 4,000, and action folded back to Ferguson, who paused for a few beats, then called.
Both players checked the 
turn, and the 
fell on the river. Ferguson bet 6,000, and his opponent folded.

The PokerNews Live Reporting Team is at the Horseshoe Southern Indiana in the Louisville area to live report the $1,700 Main Event; however, that is just one of more than a dozen gold ring events that have taken place over the past week. As such, we thought we’d profile some of the preliminary tournaments and those who struck it big.
In Event #2: $400 No-Limit Hold’em a massive 825 entries created a $272,250 prize pool. Of those, 68 made it through to Day 2 and it was 31-year-old Aaron Gamino coming in 13th in chips. He steadily built that stack before making the final table with a huge chip lead.
"It was pretty much smooth sailing throughout the day," Gamino explained, "when we got to the final table I took a flip against bracelet winner Alan Percal because he was on my left and is actually really good."
Eventually, he defeated Gregory Masters in heads-up play to get the victory for $48,320 and his first career gold ring.

Three players saw a 
flop together, and action checked to Seth Schikler on the button. He bet 2,500, and Nicole Miller called in the big blind, as did the cutoff.
The hit the turn, and action checked to Schikler again. Schikler bet 4,000, and only Miller called.
Miller checked for the third time on the 
river, and Schikler bet 8,000. Miller called, and Schikler tabled 
for a full house.
"Wow! Nice!" a tablemate told Schikler, while Miller simply mucked.

Robert James checked an 
board from the small blind, and Yoon Kim checked from under the gun. The cutoff bet 2,100 into a pot of around 6,000, and James check-raised to 5,100. Kim and the cutoff both called.
The 
hit the river, and James checked. Kim bet 5,000, the cutoff called and James folded.
"Where's the f***ing club at?" Kim said as he tabled for aces-full. The cutoff tabled 
for the same full house, and the duo chopped up the pot.

Jared Hyman raised to 900 from under the gun, and was called by a player in middle position, as well as the big blind.
The big blind checked the 
flop to Hyman, who bet 1,500. Both the middle position player and big blind called.
On the turn, the big blind checked, and Hyman bet 3,000. Only the big blind called.
The 
completed the board on the river, and the big blind check-called a bet of 5,500 from Hyman. Hyman rolled over 
for tens-full, and his opponent mucked.
"Tens have been good to you!" a tablemate told Hyman, who responded with, "Can't complain...I've only played two hands, and both of 'em were 10's!"
