Reichard Flips Himself a Double

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Brett Reichard had his last 33,000 at risk from the button, and the under-the-gun player had him at risk with a call.

Brett Reichard: {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
Opponent: {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

Reichard would survive the {8-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{j-Hearts} board to earn the double.

Bai Stays Alive With Ace-King

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

After a player raised from middle position, Richard Bai three-bet jammed for 73,000 from the small blind, and the big blind four-bet shoved for 150,000. The middle position player tanked before folding what he later claimed to be {a-}{k-}.

Opponent: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Richard Bai: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

Bai binked an ace on the {10-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop, and didn't look back on the {10-Diamonds} turn and {7-Clubs} river to double.

Pupillo's Queen-Four Nets a Near-Triple

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

"I can't fold that hand," a smiling James Pupillo told Todd Sladek.

Pupillo was in the big blind with {q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, and the aftermath of a {j-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{q-Spades}{5-Clubs}{9-Spades} board was already on the felt. Pupillo's hand started with a pair and a flush draw and ended with a flush, and both of his opponents in the hand had already mucked. Pupillo and his two opponents got the money in on the flop, and Pupillo felted a foe for his last 60,000 or so in early position, while doubling his 80,000 stack through the button.

Reichard Gets Value With Second Pair

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Brett Reichard bet 8,000 from the small blind on a {5-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} board, and his lone opponent in middle position called.

Reichard bet 12,000 on the {2-Hearts} river, sending his opponent into the tank. A minute later, Reichard's opponent made the call, only to muck after Reichard tabled {a-Spades}{9-Spades} for a pair of nines.

More Day 1b Bustouts

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Level: 15

Blinds: 1,500/3,000

Ante: 3,000

Elfelt Felted

Level 14 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

A player limped in from middle position, and Paul Elfelt jammed for 36,500 from the hijack. Michael Perrone called on the button, and the middle position limper tanked for a minute before folding.

Paul Elfelt: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Michael Perrone: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

Perrone's queens would get no sweat on a {6-Hearts}{10-Spades}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{6-Spades} runout, and Elfelt was the latest to hit the rail.

Shepsky Left With a Single Chip

Level 14 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

After a raise from the button, Matt Shepsky got his last 52,500 in from the small blind, and Marius Toderici called off his last 52,000 in the big blind, while the button folded.

Marius Toderici: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Matt Shepsky: {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

Shepsky couldn't hit a jack on the {7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop, and while he picked up chop outs on the {5-Diamonds} turn, the {5-Spades} river left Shepsky with just a single yellow 500 chip. Shepsky managed to get back to 5,000 one hand later, but was walking out the door shortly after.

Lauson Fades the Sweat

Level 14 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Travis Lauson
Travis Lauson

A player had his last 23,500 in the pot from middle position, and Travis Lauson had him at risk from the cutoff.

Opponent: {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Travis Lauson: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}

Both players found a pair on the {8-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} flop, but Lauson held the lead with his pair of aces. The {9-Spades} turn gave both players straight draws, and the {j-Diamonds} river left Lauson with two pair and the winner.

"Always gotta be a sweat!" a smiling Lauson told his tablemates before bringing in his newfound chips.
