Moncek Chops

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

A player raised to 3,600 from under the gun, and was called by the cutoff and small blind, before Michael Moncek three-bet shoved for 36,400 in the big blind. Action folded back to the small blind.

"Is it really really light?" the small blind asked Moncek, who smirked and said, "It could be lighter..."

A few moments later, the small blind called.

Michael Moncek: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Opponent: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

The two shared a laugh, and although the {q-Spades}{9-Hearts}{10-Hearts} flop gave Moncek's opponent a runner-runner flush draw, the {k-Spades} turn ensured the duo would chop before the {4-Diamonds} could fall on the river.

Sanzoro's Kings Get Cracked

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

After a raise from Jack Torcolese in middle position, Steven Sanzaro had three-bet to 12,200, only for Torcolese to four-bet to 34,200.

"You woulda shipped it if you had aces," Sanzoro said to himself. Sanzoro five-bet jammed for 91,100, and Torcolese, who had 96,400 total, called immediately.

Steven Sanzaro: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Jack Torcolese: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

Sanzaro's kings would fall behind immediately, as the {8-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{a-Clubs} flop left Sanzaro searching for one of the last two kings in the deck to survive. The {7-Spades} turn and {10-Spades} river bricked off, and Sanzaro sighed and said, "Right read..."

He then stood up and shook off the bad beat, saying, "What can you do? It's poker. Good luck, guys!" before taking his leave.

Mallette Gets Lucky

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

A player raised to 4,000 from middle position, and the hijack three-bet shoved for 34,700. Quinterol Mallette four-bet to 70,000, and the middle position player tanked for a few minutes before folding.

Opponent: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Quinterol Mallette: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}

Mallette found no help on the {7-Hearts}{10-Spades}{10-Clubs} flop or {5-Clubs} turn, but the {a-Clubs} river left the hijack slamming his fist on the side of the table, as his queens had been cracked by Mallette's rivered pair of aces.

Paul Elfelt

The small blind raised to 3,500, and Paul "Big Daddy" Elfelt made the call in the big blind.

"Forty-two," said the small blind after the {3-Spades}{4-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop hit the felt. Elfelt quickly raised to 10,000, and the small blind looked skyward for a moment, before throwing his hand away.

Trost Gets an Optimum Runout to Double

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

There was already 15,000 in the pot and a {3-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{2-Spades} board on the felt, when Vlad Tkachuk bet enough to put Craig Trost at risk for his last 18,400.

"All in," Trost said immediately, and turned over {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for a turned full house.

Tkachuk could only grin and show his {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} for an inferior full house that he found on the river, and Trost doubled up.

Brown Squeezes Out the Competition

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

A player raised to 3,200 from the cutoff, and Brett Reichard called in the small blind. Jeremy Brown three-bet to 12,000 in the big blind, and the cutoff folded.

"You've got squeeze-itis!" Reichard told Brown with a grin, before folding his {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} face up.

"Same hand I had," Brown replied, and flashed {a-}{k-} before bringing in the pot.
