With about 13,000 in the middle the flop read {8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs} and Will Berry checked to his opponent who bet 5,000. Berry raised it all in for 11,100 and his opponent made the call.

Berry flopped the nut-straight and had his opponent drawing dead when the {2-Clubs} hit the turn and the {q-Spades} on the river completed the board.

Michael Sanders raised in middle position to 4,000 and John Bennett three-bet all-in next to act for 13,900 and the action folded back around to Sanders who called quickly.

They were off to the races but Bennett hit the flop hard when it came {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and Sanders couldn't catch up as the the board completed with the {5-Clubs} on the turn and the {k-Clubs} on the river.

Brandon Wilson Secures Gold in Event #5: $400 NLH Bounty

While PokerNews is here offering live updates from the Main Event and High Roller, we’d be remiss if we didn’t tell you about the full schedule of side events that have been playing out over the past week at the World Series of Poker Circuit Choctaw Durant.

In Event #5: $400 NLH Bounty, 261 runners created a $60,030 prize pool that was paid out to the top 41 players. Among those to cash but fall short of the final table were Michael Delavergne (10th - $958), Michael Lech (12th - $958), Brian Lee (14th - $795), Lauren Bunch (27th - $463), and Robert Keeling (34th - $388).

In the end, it was Brandon Wilson who outlasted the 261 player field to claim his first ring along with $13,706.

“I actually dropped out of college to pursue poker the year before Moneymaker won. I’ve been hooked ever since,” Wilson state about his background with the game.

Fortunately, on the first weekend of November, a sequence of events brought directed him to WSOP tournament poker where he flourished, joining the ranks of gold-ring champions.

Carrion Flops Huge to Double

In a three-way for 3,000 each preflop the flop came {j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and the small blind checked to WIll Carrion who bet out 5,000 and the player next to act announced all-in. The small blind quickly folded and Carrion couldn't get his 23,000 in fast enough as he tabled his cards.

Carrion had flopped a pair and a flush draw to have his opponent drawing thin, and the board completed with the {4-Diamonds} on the turn and the {10-Hearts} on the river.

Lazar's Check-Raise Gets Through

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

A player raised from middle position to 2,500 and the action folded to the small blind who called and Tony Lazar called in the big blind.

On the flop of {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}, both the small blind and Lazar checked and the middle position player fired out a bet of 5,400. The small blind folded quickly before Lazar announced all-in. After asking for a count and finding out it was 16,700 the middle position player decided to let the hand go.

Ioakimides Turns Straight to Send Opponent Packing

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

A player from middle position opened to 2,800 and was called by Andros Ioakimides on the button along with the big blind player.

The {9-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{10-Clubs} flop was checked to the initial raiser who tossed out a bet and Ioakimides raised. Action was on the big blind player who three-bet to 18,000 getting a fold from the initial raiser while Ioakimides called.

The big blind player jammed after the {8-Clubs} fell on the turn and Ioakimides quickly called.

Opponent: {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

Ioakimides turned the staright and sealed his opponent's fate after the {j-Clubs} river completed the board.

A Quad Jack Board Gives Alfa the Pot

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Ben Keeline opened for 5,600 on the button and Dave Alfa called from the small blind to see a {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop.

Both players checked and did the same on the {j-Diamonds} turn, along with the {j-Spades} river.

Alfa quickly turned over {a-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and scooped the pot.
