Two Hands on Table #84

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Jakob Madsen raised to 1,500 from under the gun and was called by Iosebi Laperashvili in early position, Antonio Barbato in mid-position, Adrian Apmann on the button, and Evangelos Bechrakis and Reinhard Schuster in the blinds. They all checked through the {6-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} on the flop and the {10-Hearts} on the turn to the {j-Hearts} on the river. Bechrakis, Schuster, and Madsen all checked. Laperashvili bet 5,000 and the rest all folded.

The hand right after, Christopher Putz raised to 1,400 from the hijack and was called by both Schuster and Madsen in the blinds. The flop came {6-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{3-Spades}, both Schuster and Madsen checked. Putz continued with a bet of 2,000 which only Schuster called. They then proceeded to both check through the {10-Hearts} on the turn and the {q-Clubs} on the river. Schuster turned around {a-Spades}{5-Spades} for ace-high for Putz to scoop the pot with {j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} with the turned pair of tens.

Kovarik Eliminated by Auer

Level 9 : 400/800, 800 ante

Karel Kovarik raised to 2,000 from mid-position and was called by Oliver Heidel on the button, and Robert Auer and Ertan Aldikacti in the blinds.

They all checked through the {q-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{7-Hearts} flop to the {a-Clubs} on the turn. Auer and Aldikacti both checked. Kovarik bet 5,000 which Heidel called but Auer raised to 15,000. Aldikacti quickly folded and Kovarik shoved for almost 40,000 in total. Heidel looked at his cards once more before pushing them over the line. Auer snap-called by flicking a chip in and tabled {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts} for the flopped flush. Kovarik got up from his seat and turned around {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds} for the turned two pair.

The river completed the board with the {6-Clubs} which did not help Kovarik in any way and he was sent away from the tournament area.
