Simone Agnoletto
Simone Agnoletto

Simone Agnoletto was sitting in the under-the-gun position and took almost two minutes before raising to 45,000. Action folded to Christopher Putz in the big blind who called.

The flop came {7-Clubs}{4-Spades}{10-Clubs}, Putz check-called the 70,000 continuation-bet of Agnoletto.

The turn was the {3-Hearts}, Putz checked again and now Agnoletto shoved. Putz asked for a count and the dealer confirmed Agnoletto had 305,000 behind.

"Do you want a fold or call?" Putz asked Agnoletto.

Agnoletto responded: "You choose..." and then leaned back in his chair.

Putz contemplated for another twenty seconds before making the call.

Simone Agnoletto: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}
Christopher Putz: {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

Agnoletto had an overpair while Putz had flopped a pair of tens.

The river completed the board with the {4-Diamonds} for Agnoletto to hold on and double up.

Plozza Bubbles With a Cooler

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Wissam Turkie and Moreno Plozza
Wissam Turkie and Moreno Plozza

In the seventh hand of hand-for-hand play, Wissam Turkie raised to 40,000 on the bubble and Moreno Plozza called in the big blind.

The flop came {4-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Spades}, Plozza bet 25,000 and Turkie made the call.

The turn was the {a-Spades}, Plozza shoved for 250,000 exactly and Turkie called again. They had to wait for all action to be completed on the other tables before the hole cards could go on their backs but when they did, the whole table audibly gasped.

Turkie tabled {5-Spades}{3-Spades} for the straight flush. Plozza looked a bit stunned and flipped over {k-Spades}{10-Spades}. Plozza just sat there while the dealer tried to get him to move his stack forward. In the end, Plozza got up and went to talk to a friend about what had just happened.

The tournament director announced that everyone was in the money which generated some cheers and applause.
