Carl's Queens Hold for the Double

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Zion Carl opened to 2,800 in early position, a middle position player three-bet to 8,300, and Carl called.

Carl checked the {6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} flop, his opponent shoved, and Carl, who was covered, committed his last 14,100 to the pot.

Zion Carl: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Opponent: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

Carl's pocket queens held, as the turn {9-Spades} and river {3-Spades} changed nothing.

With 10,000-plus already in the pot, Jeff Griffiths was heads-up from middle position, against Eli Ross on the button.

The board showed {3-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{7-Spades}{q-Diamonds}, and Griffiths put in a bet for 4,300. Ross thought about it briefly, then folded.

Haletky Adds to the Pile

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Jaime Haletky
Jaime Haletky

Jaime Haletky is up to the 270,000 mark after taking down yet another sizeable pot.

His latest win came with the board showing {k-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}, and more than 40,000 already in the pot. Haletky put in a bet for 30,000 from the big blind, and after some consideration his opponent in early position folded.

Haletky appears to have the biggest stack in the room as Level 10 winds down.

Guberman Makes the Right Call

Level 9 : 400/800, 800 ante

With {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{9-Clubs} on the board, and around 27,000 in the pot, David Valdez went all in from the hijack, having Igor Guberman's remaining 18,000 covered.

Guberman thought it through for several moments before making the call from the button, and his {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts} was the winner, besting Valdez' attempted bluff with {k-Spades}{4-Spades}.

Kornechuk Doubles Through Stamm

Level 9 : 400/800, 800 ante

Facing an open for 1,800 from middle position, and calls from the hijack and cutoff, Thomas Kornechuk went all in for 13,100.

David Stamm, on the small blind, cold called, and all three of the players who were originally in for 1,800 folded.

Thomas Kornechuk: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
David Stamm: {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

Board: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{9-Clubs}
