Ghashayar Chops With Merten

Level 2 : 100/300, 300 ante
Iman Ghashayar
Iman Ghashayar

Iman Ghashayar raised to 700 and received two callers including Stanislav Koleno on the button. Thomas Merten then three-bet to 3,400 in the small blind and Ghashayar clicked it back to 8,000. Only Merten called and then check-jammed the {10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop when facing a bet worth 11,000 for Ghashayar to call.

Merten revealed the {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades} and Ghashayar had the equally strong {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}. The {4-Hearts} turn ensured the split pot, making the {j-Diamonds} river a formality. "So much drama for this," Ghashayar joked while Merten replied "I was hoping you had kings."

Scozzari Flops the Nuts

Level 2 : 100/300, 300 ante
Agostino Scozzari
Agostino Scozzari

There were around 27,000 in the middle to the {q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} river and Pirali Birinci opted to check. He then faced a bet worth 20,000 by Agostino Scozzari and headed into the think tank. Birinci eventually folded a queen according to the table chat.

"Such a pity that the ace came, I had flopped the nuts," Scozzari said and flashed the {j-Hearts}{10-Spades}.

[Removed:524] Jams Up Stack

Level 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

With just two players left to battle for the pot, the turn showed {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{10-Spades} and [Removed:520] bet what appeared to be 8,000 out of the big blind. Jeffrey Kamp then raised to 23,400 as the table chip leader. [Removed:524] wasted just a short time before moving all-in and Kamp snap-folded.

The table also features Johann Roesnick and Tobias Peters.

Gulas Senior in the Mix

Level 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

Josef Gulas, the father of the 2021 WSOP Europe Main Event champion with the same name, has been spotted in the field. Gulas is a well-known King's regular with plenty of cashes to his name in this casino.

Just now he took on Mark Vehoff, who bet the {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{7-Clubs} turn for 4,000. Gulas raised to 10,000 and forced a fold. "King queen again?" another player at the table asked but Gulas just sent his cards towards the muck before collecting the pot.
