Day 1b of the 2022 WSOP International Circuit at King's Kicks Off at 2pm

King's Resort Poker Arena
King's Resort Poker Arena

After a successful first starting day, the flagship €1,700 Main Event of the 2022 WSOP International Circuit in Rozvadov is on track to meet and surpass the €1,000,000 guarantee. Europe's biggest poker arena at the King's Resort saw 335 entries turn up and 108 players already booked their tickets for Day 2.

Many more will follow as the second and final starting stack is slated to get underway at 2pm local time. Once more, nine levels of 60 minutes each are scheduled and there will be a 15-minute break every two levels. Furthermore, the 30-minute dinner break for a quick trip to the casino buffet takes place after level four. The action will conclude just after midnight local time.

All participants receive 50,000 in chips and can purchase up to two re-entries throughout the day in case they come up empty-handed. The first blinds are 100-200 with a big blind ante of 200, providing all contenders 250 big blinds worth of ammunition after sitting down for the first level.

The late registration remains open until the start of level 12, giving all those late entrants a shot for the first two levels on Day 2. Chip leader so far is Kosovo's Valon Olluri, who successfully re-entered and accumulated 552,500. Josef Huber was the only other player above half a million in chips and advanced with 535,000. Whether or not anyone on Day 1b will surpass either of these impressive stack sizes remains to be seen.

Defending champion Andrea Ricci was among the notable casualties on Day 1a and will very likely return today to try and defend his title. The same also applies for the WSOP Europe bracelet winners Antoine Vranken, Emil Bise, and 2021 WSOPE Europe Main Event champion Josef Gulas Jr.

Stay tuned for all the action from King's Resort as the PokerNews live reporting team will be on the floor until a winner has been crowned on January 25, 2022.
