Navon Wins Another Pot Off Hegner

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Afik Navon bet the {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{7-Clubs} flop and called a raise to 21,000 by Gordon Hegner, who he had previously clashed with several times. The {5-Hearts} turn was checked and Navon bet the {k-Diamonds} river for 40,000. Hegner sighed and slid his cards towards the muck after some 20 seconds.

In the last hand before the break, Afik Navon checked his option on the {j-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop and Laviniu David in the cutoff bet 28,500 for nearly the size of the pot. Navon called and then checked again the {9-Hearts} on the turn. David instantly jammed and Navon asked for a count.

The shove was for 97,700 and Navon apologised in advance for potentially taking a few minutes. Ultimately, he called with the superior stack.

Laviniu David: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Afik Navon: {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}

The river was the {k-Spades} as David further improved to a set. "You didn't believe me, huh?" he inquired before they had gone into the break.

Nasredine Talah: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Gordon Hegner: {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

Talah's hopes for the board to pair went blank as the {4-Diamonds} turn and {3-Diamonds} river completed the runout.
