Talah Eliminated by Magan

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Nasredine Talah
Nasredine Talah

After surviving the bubble as one of the shorter stacks, Nasredine Talah found a spot to get his stack of around ten blinds in to get called by Luis Miguel Magan.

Nasredine Talah: {a-Spades}{2-Diamonds}
Luis Miguel Magan: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

The {k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop and {5-Clubs} turn gave both players a gutshot. However, neither connected on the {9-Clubs} river and the kicker played to eliminate Talah next.

The Next Batch of Bustouts

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Richard Roettelbach shipped his stack over to Sharon Sade and shortly after, the next all-in and call took place as the carnage after the bubble continued.

Norbert Laszlo jammed for around 105,000 from the small blind and was looked up by Fulvio Sansanelli in the big blind.

Norbert Laszlo: {k-Spades}{5-Diamonds}
Fulvio Sansanelli: {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}

Laszlo paired up on the {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop but the {9-Clubs} turn and {3-Clubs} river improved Sansanelli to a flush.

Double Knockout for Kellner

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Michael Strauch
Michael Strauch

Aleksandar Trajkovski was all-in for just a handful of chips and that somehow got Michael Strauch involved. However, behind that, Ladislav Kellner also piled the chips in and that created the following showdown.

Aleksandar Trajkovski: {k-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Michael Strauch: {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Ladislav Kellner: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

The board ran out {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{6-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs} and Trajkovski was eliminated. Kellner's stack was counted and his 395,000 also covered Strauch by a small margin.

First Eliminations in the Money

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Angelo de Marco was the first player to bust in the money on the feature tables.

He was followed by Tobias Lerzer, who clashed in a battle of short stacks with Sergiu Covrig.

Tobias Lerzer: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Sergiu Covrig: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

The board ran out {q-Hearts}{7-Spades}{a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{7-Spades} and that spelled the end for Lerzer.

Post Bubble Doubles

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Volkan Alkan raised to 20,000 and Benny Kneepkens called. Gordon Hegner then shoved for 125,000 and Alkan was the only caller.

Gordon Hegner: {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}
Volkan Alkan: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

The board ran out {j-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{4-Spades} and the pocket pair held.

One table over, Sharon Sade flipped with {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} versus {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} and spiked a flush on the {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{4-Spades} board.

Campanile Bubbles Once More at King's

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Enrico Campanile
Enrico Campanile

Enrico Campanile was a big stack not that long ago before losing half of his stack. He was then moved tables and still had a healthy stack of around 450,000. However, those just got in preflop from the button and chip leader Mahersh Selvakumaran in the cutoff snapped him off.

Enrico Campanile: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Mahersh Selvakumaran: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

The {q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades} runout provided no sufficient help to the Italian and he was eliminated on the bubble. In a remarkable twist, Campanile was also the bubble boy of the 2021 WSOP Europe Main Event here at King's Resort only a few months ago.

Andrian Cracks Aces to Double on the Bubble

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Simone Andrian
Simone Andrian

In the very first hand on the money bubble, Simone Andrian was all-in for 239,000 and he was looked up by table chip leader Mark Bongaerts on the button.

Simone Andrian: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Mark Bongaerts: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}

Andrian improved on the {k-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop but had a sweat on the {q-Clubs} turn, which gave Bongaerts the nut flush draw. However, there would be no cheers from the rail as the {4-Diamonds} river confirmed Andrian's double.

The Money Bubble Has Been Reached

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Two massive stacks can be found over on table 81 and they belong to Ronnie Lemmens as well as Mahersh Selvakumaran. The latter just reduced the field to the final 88 players when he flat-called a raise by Fausto Tantillo in a battle cutoff versus button.

Tantillo bet the {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{6-Clubs} flop and {8-} turn. After the {q-Hearts} river, Tantillo jammed and Selvakumaran called to catch his table neighbour with the {k-Hearts}{9-Clubs} for top pair only. Selvakumaran had that beat with the {q-Spades}{j-Clubs} and soared to the top of the leaderboard after an already hot run as of lately.
