Butuc Gets River Value From Gicovanu

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Bets of 36,000 and 60,000 each were already pulled in prior to the {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{10-Hearts} river on which Marius Gicovanu checked. Gheorghe Butuc made it 50,000 to go and Gicovanu called to get shown the {k-Spades}{10-Clubs} for tens and eights. That was good enough, as Gicovanu mucked his cards with some frustration.

Moagi and Campanile Tangle

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Cecil Moagi four-bet against Enrico Campanile and then folded to a five-bet shove. Soon after, Moagi got some chips back when he won a 200,000 chip pot. Campanile checked out of the small blind on the {j-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Spades}{4-Clubs} turn and Moagi made it 95,000 to go in order to force a fold.

Kneepkens Binks the River Double

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

"Two live cards, king or jack," Benny Kneepkens said after he was at risk for a mere 75,000. The Dutchman was called by Norbert Laszlo for the following showdown to emerge.

Benny Kneepkens: {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Norbert Laszlo: {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}

The {9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} board indeed delivered the straight for Kneepkens and he doubled.

Penultimate Break on Day 2

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

The tournament is still on pace to reach and burst the money bubble with 111 players remaining. They have been sent into a scheduled 20-minute break. For Luigi Shehadeh, the break will unfortunately be longer as he was ousted right before everyone left the tournament area.

Mighty Deuces Never Loses

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Albert Hoekendijk flipped for his tournament life for a stack of 123,000 and he was looked up by Cristian Nogales Bravo.

Albert Hoekendijk: {2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}
Cristian Nogales Bravo: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

The Dutchman had an additional sweat on the {8-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop as any further pair on the board would counterfit his baby pair. However, the {5-Clubs} turn and {10-Spades} river were both clean as he remained in contention.
