Marco Boorsma
Marco Boorsma

Matteo Baroni celebrated his double up after he had flopped a set with {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} on the {j-Spades}{9-Hearts}{4-Spades}{k-Hearts}{8-Clubs} board. The chips had gone in after the flop with Marco Boorsma holding ace-jack, and Baroni doubled for 218,000. Boorsma had crumbs left and bowed out shortly after.

Kabrhel Eliminated by Lemmens

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Martin Kabrhel
Martin Kabrhel

Following an under-the-gun raise by Ronnie Lemmens, Enrico Campanile and Martin Kabrhel stuck around with the latter in the big blind. The {j-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop got the shorter stack of Kabrhel into the middle and Lemmens called, while Campanile folded.

Martin Kabrhel: {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Ronnie Lemmens: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}

"I had nine ten of diamonds," Campanile mentioned in the table chat. He saw the board complete with the {3-Spades} turn and {7-Hearts} river, which brought an end to Kabrhel's tournament run.

Small Pot for Piwowarski

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Jakub Piwowarski led the {6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop for 25,000 and was called by Sebastian Kappenberg from two seats over. On the {k-Hearts} turn, both players checked and the {8-Clubs} river brought a bet of Piwowarski followed by a swift fold of Kappenberg. Both players are in the middle of the pack below the average stack.

Bongaerts Bets Out Butuc

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Joining the action on the {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{7-Spades}{a-Diamonds} turn, Mark Bongaerts checked his option out of the small blind and Gheorghe Butuc bet 39,000. Bongaerts then check-raised to 105,000 and Butuc came along.

After the {10-Hearts} river, Bongaerts made it 220,000 to go and Butuc folded.

"You had nuts on the turn, huh?" another player remarked to the Dutchman.

Triple Up for Sansanelli

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Fulvio Sansanelli was already at risk preflop and the {j-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop then saw Alessandro Pichierri push for 186,000. Claudio Di Giacomo asked for a count and eventually folded.

Fulvio Sansanelli: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Alessandro Pichierri: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}

The {j-Hearts} turn gave unbeatable quads and the {7-Spades} river was a formality.

Unbreakable Tutus Doubles

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

"Yay, quads, I am unbreakable," Tuncay Tutus celebrated. He had been at risk for 75,000 out of the small blind with the {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and faced Paul Covaciu with the {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}.

Tutus ended up improving his hand on every street of the {j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{8-Spades}{8-Clubs} board to remain in contention.

Griese on the Rise

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

A very frustrated Rama Mulaj banged his hand on the table when he lost a medium-sized pot against Frank Griese, then lamented more to himself that a bet on the {k-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop would have won him the pot. Instead, Griese had stuck around with {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts} to turn a set on {7-Diamonds} and beat the {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} of Mulaj.

More drama was avoided as the {a-Spades} river was somewhat of a buzzkill.
