Hoekendijk More Than Doubles

Level 4 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante
Albert Hoekendijk
Albert Hoekendijk

Following an open raise to 1,000, Sergiu Covrig three-bet to 3,300 in the hijack. Albert Hoekendijk four-bet all-in for the last 11,900 in the cutoff and Dymitr Doktor shipped it in from the small blind for nearly the starting stack. That forced out all other opponents and triggered the following showdown.

Albert Hoekendijk: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Dymitr Doktor: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{q-Spades} and the Dutchman spiked the river to survive.

Covrig leaned out of his chair on the other side of the dealer and added "I folded ace-queen".

Tran Hits the Rail for Now

Level 4 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante
Do Tran

"Of course," Do Tran said with a dry smile on the face after he was all-in preflop with a short stack of 13,000 and miles ahead only to be left with a mere two outs.

Tran's {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} was up against the {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} of Paul Covaciu, who nailed the {4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop. No help came on the {8-Hearts} turn and {9-Diamonds} river, sending the previous WSOP Circuit King's Main Event finalist Tran to the rail for now.

"It has been going on like that all day long," he sighed on the way out.

Ghamrawi Chips Up With a Full House

Level 4 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante
Anthony Ghamrawi
Anthony Ghamrawi

With plenty of chips already in the middle to the {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Spades}{a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} river, Volodymyr Pilyavsky called a bet worth 16,400 by Anthony Ghamrawi. The 2014 EPT Vienna runner-up tabled the {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} for a full house and that won the pot.

Sturz Stumbles Upon Gumz

Level 4 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Fabian Gumz raised to 1,200 and Markus Sturz three-bet to 4,000. Roman Korniienko cold-called for Gumz to then reraise to 11,500. Sturz pushed all-in to force out Korniienko and Gumz instantly called.

Markus Sturz: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Fabian Gumz: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

The {k-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Spades} flop left Sturz in desperate shape and he was drawing dead on the {3-Hearts} turn to make the {j-Clubs} river a formality.

"Mr. Bond" Out for a Second Time

Level 4 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante
Mr. Bond
Mr. Bond

Heads-up to the {q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs} turn with some 22,000 in the middle, King's regular "Mr. Bond" bet 15,000 and Andreas Chalkiadakis made the call.

The {6-Hearts} fell on the river and "Mr. Bond" pushed all-in for 34,800. Chalkiadakis tanked for a long time as the new level kicked off and then called. "Mr. Bond" showed the {a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} for a bluff, which Chalkiadakis had beat holding the {k-Spades}{q-Hearts} for the top pair.

Pustula Eliminated by "A Big Hand"

Level 4 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante
Jacek Pustula
Jacek Pustula

Heads-up to the {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts} turn with some 25,000 in the middle, Jacek Pustula checked with around 30,000 behind. Mark Helou then pushed all-in from the button and that sent Pustula into the tank.

"I have a big hand. If you want to go ahead, call," Helou said with a smile on the face. Pustula ultimately did call and the cards were flipped over.

Jacek Pustula: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Mark Helou: {9-Spades}{2-Spades}

The {j-Clubs} river was a blank and Helou added "I told you I have a big hand" while Pustula left the table with a very sarcastic "yeah yeah ... big hand".

La Iacona Among the Early Big Stacks

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Jacek Pustula was spotted with a river bet on the {6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades}{k-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} board to which Gaetano La Iacona gave it some consideration. Ultimately, the Italian called and was shown the {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} for a pair of eights. La Iacona had that beat with the {6-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and won the pot, further growing his tower of chips.

Pudel Sends Di Giacomo Packing

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Claudio Di Giacomo
Claudio Di Giacomo

Piotr Walenta raised to 1,000 and Claudio Di Giacomo and Nils Pudel then three-bet to 5,100 in the small blind. Di Giacomo was the only caller to see a flop of {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades} on which Pudel continued for 6,000 and received a call.

After the {8-Spades} turn, Pudel checked and came along once Di Giacomo bet 10,000.

The {a-Clubs} river completed one of the flush draws and Pudel bet 30,000, which covered the 18,000 of his opponent. Di Giacomo reluctantly called with the {k-Spades}{10-Spades} for a pair of tens and was shown the {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs} for the nut flush by Pudel.
