More Than 200 Entries in Level Three

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

The first of two starting days continues a strong start as the field already grew to 203 entries. This includes several re-entries but a host of notables just entered not long ago as well, with the most familiar names listed below.

Puetz Left With a Short Stack

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Christopher Puetz

Heads-up to the {j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{3-Spades} turn, Christopher Puetz opted to check. Georgios Tsouloftas made it 8,000 to go and Puetz called to then check again the {5-Clubs} on the river.

Tsouloftas now bet 20,000, which covered the remaining short stack of the German poker pro. "Tens?" he inquired but received no answer to eventually settle for a fold.

Grinberg Eliminated by Ju

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

In a preflop all-in contest, Yair Grinberg got his stack in with the {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} and was snapped off by Samuel Ju with the {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}.

The {k-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{6-Clubs} runout provided no help to Grinberg and he was sent to the rail.

Assorted Counts in the Field

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

They Are Not Best Pal's Yet

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Three ways to a turn of {k-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs} turn, Levente Pal bet 3,000 and Alexey Mishuk raised to 11,000. Janja Andelic cold-called and Pal then reraised to 29,000.

Mishuk went into a tank for more than four minutes and folded while Andelic was busy playing a game on her iPad. She glanced back up when it was the turn to act and also surrendered as well.

Hofmann Chips Up

Level 2 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante
Thomas Hofmann
Thomas Hofmann

Heads-up to the {a-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop, Thomas Hofmann bet out of the small blind. Vasileios Chatzilazarou opted for a raise to 9,000 and Hofmann called. The {k-Diamonds} followed on the turn and Hofmann bet once more, this time making it 8,500 to go.

This time, Chatzilazarou folded and the Swiss dragged in the pot without resistance.

Kotecha Sends Ugucctoni to the Rail

Level 2 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante
Michael Ugucctoni
Michael Ugucctoni

With the action already on the {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} river, Michael Ugucctoni was in the tank. He had some 13,800 behind and faced the far larger bet by Vinesh Kotecha. After some two and a half minutes, the Italian called and Kotecha tabled the {k-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for the second nut flush.

Ugucctoni flashed his {9-Hearts}{8-Spades} and then headed to the cashier, presumably to re-enter shortly.
