Duerschlag Busts Once More

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

"I am just fed up, I lost a set of nines to aces," Christian Duerschlag mentioned while he was all-in for the last 4,000. Bart Boermans called from two seats over and the rest of the table folded.

Christian Duerschlag: {a-Clubs}{2-Hearts}
Bart Boermans: {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

The dominated kicker found no help on the {10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{10-Spades}{6-Clubs} board and that spelled the end for Duerschlag. His seat was then taken by Lars Kamphues, and Timo Kamphues sat down one table over.

Giudice Chips up Against Berkis

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

On the tail end of a heads-up pot between Giovanni Giudice and Georgios Berkis, the board showed {q-Spades}{8-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}. Berkis check-called a bet worth 13,000 and mucked when Giudice rolled over the {q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for the top two pair.

Vernetti Among the Chip Leaders

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Jacek Pustula check-called a bet worth 5,000 on the {q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop and then checked over to table big stack Roberto Vernetti on the {9-Diamonds} turn. Vernetti now made it 9,000 to go and that was enough to take down the pot uncontested.,

Tsouloftas Scores a Knockout

Level 4 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante
Georgios Tsouloftas
Georgios Tsouloftas

The cards of Christian Duerschlag were already in the muck while Cypriot Georgios Tsouloftas raked in the pot. His {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} had made the top two pair on the {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs} board and another player had gotten out of the way, which Tsouloftas stated with a "good fold" and smile on the face.

Unsal Jams Up His Stack

Level 4 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

A large pot unfolded towards the end of the poker arena and two big stacks were involved in the action. More than 60,000 were in the middle as the completed board showed {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}. From under the gun, Onur Unsal pushed all-in for 120,300 and Payam Ansarian was sent into the tank.

The Brit was narrowly covered with nearly two times the average stack and ultimately opted to fold.

Mauerhoff Doubles; Tran Chips Up

Level 4 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

In a preflop all-in contest, Uwe Mauerhoff was all-in for the last 16,500 with the {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and flipped against Michael Gloess with the {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and the pocket pair held up for Mauerhoff to double.

Two tables over, Dutchman Van Thao Tran jammed the {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} river into Jordan Pelon to try and claim a main pot of around 39,000. Pelon had fewer than that behind and sigh-folded.

Tran flashed the {10-Diamonds} and Pelon replied "king ten of diamonds, nice."
