Ghashayar's Runbad Continues

Level 4 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante
Iman Ghashayar
Iman Ghashayar

Iman Ghashayar was all-in for a mere 2,500 out of the big blind and looked up by Massimo Schiralli and Georgios Berkis. The former check-folded the {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop to a bet worth 5,500 and the cards were turned over.

Iman Ghashayar: {8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Georgios Berkis: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}

The {8-Spades} turn and {5-Hearts} river brought the same straight on the board and Ghashayar could all but smile. Left with around 4,000 in chips he bowed out shortly thereafter.

Taner Yilmaz

A large pot of more than 100,000 developed to the {5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{7-Hearts} river on which Taner Yilmaz and Markus Sturz checked. Ferhat Yildiz then pushed for 29,200 and Yilmaz called while Sturz folded.

Yildiz tabled the {k-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for a whiffed straight draw and Yilmaz won the large pot with the {a-Spades}{a-Hearts} for aces and nut flush blocker.

Firoz Mangroe
Firoz Mangroe

Silvan Boesiger was spotted on his way out of the tournament area and the board was just about mucked, containing two aces. The Swiss had turned trips aces with {a-Spades}{k-Spades} but it was no good, as the {9-Diamonds} river gave Firoz Mangroe with the {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} a full house.

Rough Exit for Hostettler

Level 4 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

On the river of a {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{3-Spades}{7-Spades}{a-Clubs} board, Alain Hostettler bet 6,500 out of the small blind and then faced a big raise by Georg Strebel who had the covering stack.

Hostettler sigh-called and was shown the {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades} for aces full, mucking his {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for aces and eights including the ace blocker.

Giudice Gets Ghashayar To Fold the River

Level 4 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante
Giovanni Giudice
Giovanni Giudice

In a battle small blind versus button, Giovanni Giudice bet the {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{8-Hearts} turn and was called by Iman Ghashayar. The {7-Diamonds} fell on the river and Giudice bet 22,100 into a pot of around 20,000.

That covered Ghashayar and he went into the tank. "You still have chips if you fold," the Italian started some table chat and Ghashayar responded "I flopped the nuts".

"How can you call the turn and then fold the river. I think you have to call but that's just my opinion," Giudice continued his speech play. Ultimately, Ghashayar folded and dropped to an even shorter stack.

Parisel Doubles Through Siemund

Level 4 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Peter Siemund in the hijack bet a three-way flop of {10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} for 4,500 and Fabien Parisel flat-called on the button. The {9-Hearts} turn brought another bet by Siemund and a call before Siemund pushed all-in after the {9-Clubs} river.

Parisel called for the 15,600 he had behind and was good with {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}, as he held the superior overpair compared to the {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} of Siemund. For the Berlin-based WSOP Circuit ring winner Siemund, a roller coaster day continues as he was already down to 12,000 earlier on.

Pelon Takes It on the Turn

Level 4 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Four ways to the {7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop, the action checked to Jordan Pelon from under the gun and he bet 5,100. Only Raoul Refos called from two seats over while Benoit Mahoux and Raul van Boxtel out of the blinds folded.

Pelon then fired a larger bet of 12,100 on the {10-Spades} turn, which forced out Refos eventually after a very brief spell of consideration.
