Marfil then led out for 475,000 on the 5♦ turn. Van der Reijnst called after a long time in the tank, seeing his opponent size up to 750,000 on the 2♠ river.

Van der Reijnst again mulled it over for several minutes, but eventually he called. Marfil was playing the board with J♣8♦, but Van der Reijnst's K♦8♥ played as a better kicker with the two pair on the board, shipping him the vital pot.
