Inaugural Champion Still in Contention as 24 Return for Day 3 of WSOPC Tallinn Main Event
Back in 2023, the first-ever WSOP Circuit Tallinn was organized. The €1,500 Main Event attracted a field of 719 entries, and Ignacio Garrido won the tournament for €100,350. Since then, the event has grown every year, with this year's edition breaking all records with the 977 recorded entries creating a massive prize pool of €1,253,002. Only 24 of them have made it to the penultimate day of the tournament, and Garrido is still among those vying for the €210,000 first-place prize.
Day 3 will kick off at noon local time inside the Hilton Tallinn Park Hotel & Olympic Park Casino. Garrido will continue the hunt for his second Main Event victory with a stack of 1,200,000, worth 24 big blinds when play resumes. Meanwhile, German native Julian Selinger tops the counts with 5,170,000 in chips, more than four times Garrido's stack. He is followed by Garrido's fellow countryman David Marfil with 4,435,000, while Dutchman Roy van der Reijnst completes the top three with 3,800,000.

Plenty of others who have tasted poker victory before remain in contention. Luka Sorainen is fresh off a victory in the €5,000 High Roller ring event just a few days ago and returns with 1,600,000. Bracelet winner Sander Ostlyngen has 1,100,000 to his name when play resumes, while Kings of Tallinn champions Johan Karlsson (1,300,000) and Kai Lehto (1,020,000) will be looking for their first piece of WSOP hardware. Day 1 chipleader Rasmus Lundström still hopes to capture his second-ever ring at this venue, but with 705,000, he is among the shorter stacks.
Day 3 of the WSOPC Tallinn Main Event will resume with eight minutes left in Level 23: 25,000/50,000 with a 50,000 big blind ante. All subsequent levels will be 60 minutes long, with a short break after each level. The tournament will play down to a final table today, which will play out on August 2, the final day of the tournament. The action will be streamed live today on a 45-minute delay, courtesy of OlyBet Poker. The live reporting will adhere to the same delay to prevent spoilers.
The 24 returning players have all locked up €6,620 for their Day 3 appearance, with a pay jump to €7,980 being one elimination away. Five-figure payouts start from place 11, while six-figure payouts await only the eventual heads-up contenders.
