Breviglieri Doubles Up

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Blind on Blind Natalia Breviglieri raised to 25,000 and Karim Souaid moved all in. However Breviglieri had woken up with a hand and she made the call.

Breviglieri: {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}
Souaid: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}

Everything was looking fine {3-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{A-Spades}{2-Clubs} until the {J-Diamonds} river lead to Souaid jumping out of his seat, and shoving a chair at a neighbouring table to the floor. Breviglieri moves up to 540,000 amongst a series of bust outs, including Guy Taylor, Roland van Morckhoven and Rakesh Lalwani

Eric Fournier Eliminated in 45th Place - Bubble Burst

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
A smiling Eric Fournier...before the cards were turned over
A smiling Eric Fournier...before the cards were turned over

Having been short for pretty much the entire bubble Eric Fournier moved all-in for his remaining chips and was called in two spots by Sonny Franco and Rakesh Lalwani. That's the good news. The bad news however is that after Fournier bet the flop of {A-Spades}{3-Hearts}{J-Clubs}, Lalwani folded, the cards were turned over.

Fournier: {J-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}
Franco: {3-Spades}{3-Clubs}

It wasn't looking good for Fournier who needed running cards to stay safe, but the {8-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} did not help him and he became the WSOP Circuit Marrakech Main Event bubble boy. Let the carnage begin! There were several short stacks including Erwann Pecheux, so no doubt we will see the number reduce further in the remaining two and a half elvels

Lahlou Vaults into Chip Lead

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Preflop Pierre Zerbib made it 23,000 UTG and Karim Lahlou just called in the big blind.

The flop was {8-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and Lahlou bet 34,000 which was raised by Zerbib to 78,000. Lahlou called and both players saw the {6-Spades} on the turn. Lahlou then check-called 100,000 and the {6-Diamonds} was checked by both players.

Lahlou: {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}
Zerbib: {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}

Lahlou moves up amongst the chipleaders with 860,000 on the bubble, which is still ongoing.

Tournament Ruling on the Bubble

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Tensions fray and everyone gets a little bit on edge when we're on the bubble. That was the case on table nine where no less than three tournament staff were drawn into a lengthy discussion about a ruling.

On a board of {7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{K-Spades} Rodrigo Requiao check-called Pierre Zerbib's bet of 40,000 and the pair saw a river, which was the {4-Hearts}. Zerbib, who was second to act, slid out a bit of 75,000 without Requiao checking. Tournament staff were called, and when Requiao slid his 75,000 forward, thinking it was a call, it was revealed that Zerbib could in fact take his bet back or raise.

Tournament staff went away to discuss things and when they came back it was decided that Requiao's action should constitute a call. Zerbib showed {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and scooped the pot.

First a Double, then an Elimination; Money Bubble

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

We only just saw David Vizcaino double up Karim Souaid after flopping two pair, but he's now given the Frenchman the rest of his chips.

The cards were on their backs when we got there with Vizcaino holding {J-Clubs}{J-Spades} and Souaid {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}. The board ran out {7-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{7-Spades} eliminating Vizcaino.

With 45 players left we are now hand for hand, with only 44 players getting paid

Souaid Doubles Up Through Vizcaino

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

"I have Ace-Queen," said David Vizcaino as he stared at an all-in from Karim Souaid. The board was {10-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and Souaid had shoved for his remaining 185,000 chips. Vizcaino was perplexed at the sudden shove with only 25,000 in the pot.

Eventually Vizcaino made the call and the cards were turned over

Vizcaino: {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}
Souaid: {A-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}

True to his word, Vizcaino had Ace-Queen, but he was behind to Souaid who had flopped two pair. The board completed {4-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and that bumped Souaid up to over 400k
