Question Answered

As previously announced (and now confirmed), there will be no antes for the No-Limit levels of this event. The green chips are off the table, and the cards are back in the air.

Level: 5

Blinds: 100/200

Ante: 0

Ante Up?

Just before the players went on their most recent break there was an announcement that coloring-up would take place at that time. So all the green chips were about to come off the table...when someone on the floor raised an interesting question--are there going to be antes during the No-Limit levels?

Antes are not listed in the current tournament structure, but the question is apparently still under debate as we speak. No antes would certainly affect the No-Limit play a great deal, so we'll have to wait and see what the decision is.

15-Minute Break

The players take a 15-minute break, during which time the tournament staff will color up the green (25) chips. The players can stay for the color up, but they must leave the tournament area during the break.

Annie Duke Doubles Up

The cutoff raises to 1000 and Annie Duke moves all in from the big blind for slightly less.

Annie has {J-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
The cutoff has {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

The flop brings the {9-Clubs} and Annie doubles through to just under 2000.

Fresh Kem Cards Have Arrived!

Tournament Director Jack Effel just made an announcement that received a lot of applause. A package of classic Kem cards has arrived, and floorstaff will be swapping out fresh decks during the next break.

It's not certain that there are enough decks to cover tomorrow's action, but Harrah's is definitely reacting as quickly as possible.
