In a hand against Randy "Dreamcrusher" Jensen, Mike Matusow held and made a pair on the flop. All the money went in the middle, but Jensen held and continued to lead after the fell on the turn. But Matusow spiked the on the river to give him two pair, and scooping that pot lifted his stack up to 78,000.
Anthony Reategui eliminated Chris Reslock when he paired a Jack on the flop that pipped the pair of Tens in Reslock's hand. Reslock was crippled by Randy Jensen a few hands earlier when, with the board pairing Tens and Sevens, Reslock called Jensen's bet on the river but couldn't beat the Seven in Jensen's hand.
After making a big laydown a few hands before that would've cost him the rest of his chips, Mike "The Mouth" Matusow doubled up when his A-3-10-10 was good enough to beat Steve Ladowsky on a board. As Matusow got up from the table to exchange high fives with his supporters (including Phil Hellmuth), Todd Brunson said, his voice perfectly sincere, "Mike, the dealer mucked your cards."
Matusow rushed back to the table to find that Brunson was just pulling his leg. And that he now had 48,000 chips to play with.
