Matusow Trying to Ride the Good Luck Tran

Just a couple of minutes before the first break here.

Mike Matusow just spotted Theo Tran and asked him to give him some of his good luck. Tran has already made two final tables at this year's WSOP. He finished fourth in Event No. 1 ($1,500 No-Limit Hold'em) and is the chip leader heading into today's final table at Event No. 7 ($2,000 No-Limit).

Yang Gets the Double-Up

A player in middle position raised to 750 and Jerry Yang in late position went all in for 2,750. The MP player called with {Q-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and Yang had {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}. The board was {Q-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Yang doubled through to 5,800.

Seif? Out!

On a flop of {Q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{4-Spades}, Mark Seif goes all in for his last 1,000 and two players call. The turn was {5-Hearts} and the side pots check. The river was {9-Clubs} and the big blind checks. The late-position player bets 1,000 on the side and the big blind calls. The LP had {K-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and Seif had {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}. The big blind mucks and Seif is eliminated.
