Katz's Turn to Rebuild

Pete de Best moved all in from under the gun for 71,000 and Adam Katz made the call. Katz showed {K-Spades} {Q-Spades} while de Best held pocket threes. Katz spiked a king on the flop and eliminated de Best from the field.

Bell Rebuilds

After dropping down to 120,000 when his A-K ran into aces, Duncan Bell built his stack back up when he was involved in a three-way all-in with Jason Manger and Adam Katz. Katz held A-10, Manger with K-9, and Bell with pocket rockets.

The flop came {Q-Diamonds} {J-Spades} {8-Clubs} and though both Katz and Manger picked up draws, neither of them were completed by the river. Bell nearly tripled up to 420,000 while Manger was knocked out of the event. Katz is down to 226,000 after the hand.

Theo Tran Has Been Eliminated

Theo Tran's quest to make his third final table of the 2008 World Series came to an end when he moved in the last of his chips from the small blind holding {A-Diamonds} {9-Hearts}. Brent Hanks called in the big blind with {A-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} but he connected on the {10-Clubs} {8-Clubs} {Q-Spades} flop and though Tran picked up a gutshot draw on the turn he didn't improve on the river and was eliminated.

And on the River...

Pete de Best raised to 30,000 and Nathan Doudney moved all in for his last 120,000. De Best thought a bit before finally making the call with A-K to Doudney's pocket eights.

De Best flopped a king and the rest of the hand looked to be a mere formality...when the {8-Clubs} spiked on the river. De Best put his hands on his head in disbelief as the pot was pushed the other way, and he's now down to around 80,000. Doudney sits with around 290,000.

Kings for Vukasin

Preflop, Adam Katz made it 26,000 to go from middle position. Duncan Bell called, as did the player on the button and small blind. Frank Vukasin, from the big blind, moved all in for another 110,000 on top. Katz got out of the way, but Duncan Bell, who had Frank covered, moved all in as well and everyone else folded.

Bell showed A-K while Frank held pocket kings. The kings held up for Frank and after the hand he is up to 410,000.

Samuel Rosenzweig Has Been Eliminated

John Roveto moved all in for his last 98,000 before the flop and Samuel Rosenzweig called in the small blind for his 35,000. Rosenzwieg's {A-Hearts} {3-Hearts} trailed Roveto's {J-Spades} {J-Clubs} but the {K-Hearts} {10-Clubs} {A-Spades} flop put him in the lead. Roveto picked up a gutshot straight draw on the flop and after the {9-Clubs} fell on the turn Roveto spiked the {Q-Clubs} on the river to make his straight and eliminate Rosenzweig. Roveto now sits with 170,000.
