Ivey Survives Again!

It's become the Phil Ivey show here as he had doubled up once again through Daniel Negreanu. The boards ran out:

Ivey: ({10-Hearts}{6-Spades}) {10-Spades}{A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} ({A-Clubs})
Negreanu: ({K-Spades}{K-Clubs}) {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Clubs} ({2-Diamonds})

Ivey hits a full house, tens full of aces to overrun the kings and sevens of Negreanu, as Ivey now sits comfortably in the pack with about 200,000 leaving Negreanu in trouble with 75,000 chips.

Ivey's Triple Double

In an amazing comeback, Phil Ivey was down to his last 8,000 in chips a few minutes ago but now sits with close to 100,000 in chips to still have a shot of making this final table.

First Ivey tripled up, making a full house against Daniel Negreanu and Vassilios Lazarou. This put him with a little over 20,000.

He then found himself all in against Jim Paluszek with Paluszek showing ({4-Clubs}{7-Hearts}) {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{5-?}{5-?}. Ivey flipped ({6-Spades}{6-Hearts}) {6-Diamonds}{10-Spades}-X-{K-Spades} for rolled-up sixes as the two players went to the river.

Paluszek squeezed first and found another {5-?} to make a full house and Ivey would need to pair up to survive. Amazingly he squeezed the {K-Clubs} to give him sixes full of kings and a bigger full house to move to around 55,000 in chips.

A few moments later Ivey doubled up again, this time through Daniel Negreanu. Ivey had the {A-Clubs} as his up card with the {A-Spades} in the hole, and it was enough to get past Negreanu's pair of queens as Ivey now sits with 95,000 in chips! Amazing!

Director on the Set

The floorman running tonight's Stud World Championship must feel like he is directing an epic movie. He has a bar stool style chair with a sign of "Movie Director" on the back of it. It is set right between two tables off to the side of our two remaining tables, giving him a nice view of the action. "Action!"

Ivey Decimated

Phil Ivey has been crippled in a pot with Daniel Negreanu.

Negreanu held ({K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}) {5-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Spades}{A-Clubs} ({A-Diamonds}) for aces and kings which were too good for Ivey's ({Q-Spades}{10-Clubs}) {Q-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{8-Spades} ({J-Hearts}) for queens and eights.

After the hand Negreanu sits with 150,000 while Ivey is decimated and only has 15,000 chips to work with. A Seidel-like comeback is now required!

Negreanu Takes a Hit

With a board of {9-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {9-Spades} {A-Hearts} , Daniel Negreanu bet out on seventh street into the {6-Hearts} {A-Spades} {3-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} board of Jim Paluszek. Paluszek called and flipped over ({6-Spades} {6-Diamonds} X) for sixes full. Negreanu flipped over ({9-Hearts} {3-Hearts} {Q-Spades} ) for three nines.

After the hand Negreanu is down to 72,000 and Paluszek is up to 320,000.
