Currently steaming ahead is Blair Hinkle, on 950,000. It's a good WSOP so far for the Hinkle family -- Blair's brother Grant already won a bracelet in Event 2, and this Hinkle is in a very excellent position to take a shot at getting his own hardware tomorrow, barring any disasters tonight.
Matt LaGarde opens for 33,000, and Nick Niergarth makes it 68,000. Chris Bjorin then goes all in for another 185,000. LaGarde gets out of the way, and Liergarth calls.
Niergarth:
Bjorin, a very ahead:
There is one heart on the flop and another on the turn, but the final non-heart on the river was no good for Niergarth, and Bjorin doubles up.to 560,000.
This time it is Scott Preston who finds himself all in with against Mark Brockington's pocket kings, receiving absolutely no assistance from the pleasingly palindromic but otherwise unremarkable board.
Matt Ehrlich is no more. He and Andrew Jeffreys saw a flop, which they both checked. The turn was a and Ehrlich bet 20,000; Jeffreys called. And when Ehrlich shoved the river, Jeffreys was only too happy to call.
Ehrlich: for a flopped two pair.
Jeffreys: for a rivered full house.
