Layne Flack has been telling his table that he needs to get 12th or better to get out of the red in this tournament. We've prudently worked out that Flack must've had at least 20 rebuys in the first three levels of play.
We're not sure if this is the highest amount of rebuys by one player at this stage.
Nikolay Evdakov just won a nice pot, eliminating a player in the process, when he turned deuces full of sixes versus his opponent's A-A-x-x. Evdakov is up to 47,000.
Meanwhile, Julian Powell just won a big hand with A-A-x-x, busting another player. Powell is up to 130,000.
Nam Le and another player limped, the player in the hijack seat raised to 3,100, and only Le called. The flop came . Le bet 7,200, his opponent reraised enough to put Le all in, and he called.
Le had for top two and a draw to a straight. His opponent had A-A-x-x. All was fine for Le until a trey on the river paired the board, and Le hit the rail.
J.C. Tran raised to 2,000 from late position, and Phil Laak reraised pot to 6,600 from the small blind. Tran called, and Laak went ahead and bet his remaining 4,000 in the dark.
The flop came and Tran called Laak's bet. Laak had K-Q-10-8 for top two, and Tran A-K-9-8 (no heart draw). The turn and river didn't help Tran, and now Laak is back up to 15,000.
