Food Coma

It appears that play has tightened up a bit after the dinner break. Decisions are taking a bit longer and all ins have slowed down significantly.

Perhaps the entire field of seniors are in a post dinner food coma.

Villareal Doubles With Running Quads Before Break!

Just prior to the dinner break Eddie Villareal has found a remarkable double up to put the WSOP's new "excessive celebration rule" to the test!

On a flop of {9-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades} Villareal moved all in for his last 59,000 and was instantly called by his opponent. Villareal revealed {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for top pair-top kicker but was crushed by the {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}.

Needing to catch a running miracle to survive the turn was the {9-Clubs} and river the {9-Diamonds} and Villareal makes running quads as he roars with delight, "Eddie is my name, No Limit Hold'em is my game!"

His dinner will taste pretty good now as Villareal doubles up in dramatic fashion to take 179,000 chips to the break!

Nguyen Splashes Around

Men "The Master" Nguyen is grabbing our attention with his colorful table talk and aggressive game play. He's grabbed hold of some chips and is splashing them around the table.

We recently observed him calling all in bets with {K-Spades}{4-Spades} and {Q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} against his opponent's pocket eights and pocket tens. Nguyen lost both hands to double up his opponents as he slips to around 103,000 chips.

Nguyen Doubles Up Again

The player on the button raised to 17,000, the small blind called and Men "The Master" Nguyen called from the big blind.

They took a flop of {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Spades} where the small blind checked to Nguyen who immediately moved all in for 51,100. The player on the button made the call, while the small blind stepped aside.

Nguyen held {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and had the lead against his opponent's {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}.

The turn was the {5-Spades} and river the {2-Clubs} and Nguyen doubles up to 130,000.

After the hand, Eddie Villareal commented "Men 'The Master' is his name, No Limit Hold'em is his game!"
