Wood Doubles Through Lacourse

The button is with Jerry Yamachika in Seat 9. The action passes to Dale Eberle who min-raised to 60,000 before Dan Lacourse made it 160,000 to go from the cutoff position. It folded to Charles Wood who made the call for his last 120,000 chips in the big blind as Eberle stepped aside.

Wood: {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Lacourse: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

The flop was a good one for Wood as it arrived {A-Spades}{5-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} to give Wood additional straight outs. The turn also improved his chances as the {Q-Spades} gave Wood outs to counterfeit Lacourse’s pair. However he didn’t need them as the {K-Diamonds} on the river sealed the deal and gave Wood a double up as his entourage cheered from the rail! Wood is now up to about 260,000 chips.
