A Kirill Triple

Kirill Gerasimov
Kirill Gerasimov
Jim Downend limped and Kirill Gerasimov moved all in for about 60,000. Eric Crain made the call from the big blind as did Downend.

The two live players checked down a board of {7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{3-Clubs}{9-Spades} as Jim Downend showed {A-Spades}{J-Clubs} for ace high. Crain mucked and Gerasimov showed {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} for a better kicker to scoop the pot and more than triple up! He is now back in contention as he sits with 190,000 in chips!

Andrew Li Eliminated

Preflop, Eric Crain bet 30,000 and Jim Downend bet all in for 87,000. Andrew Li and Crain both called the all in bet.

On a flop of {A-Hearts} {7-Hearts} {5-Spades}, Crain bet out 43,000, which was enough to put Li all in. Li called.

Eric Crain: {A-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds}
Downend: {A-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds}
Li: {10-Spades} {10-Clubs}

The turn fell the {4-Spades} and the river the {A-Spades}.

Crain won the side pot and Downend took the main pot.

Brewer Takes Out Two

In consecutive hands Robert Brewer has eliminated two players to storm up the chip count leaderboard.

In the first hand he called the open-shove of Sergei Veytser. Brewer held {K-Hearts}{K-Spades} against the {A-Spades}{9-Hearts} of Veytser but the flop changed everything when it came {3-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} to give Veytser top two pair. The turn was the {8-Spades} but the river was a miraculous {K-Diamonds} to give Brewer a set and send Veytser to the rail.

In the second hand Brewer held {J-Spades}{J-Hearts} and called the open-shove of Erik Cajelais who held {K-Hearts}{10-Clubs}. The board bricked out {Q-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{6-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds} to eliminate Cajelais from the tournament.

Brewer is now up to over 500,000 in chips to be with the tournament chip leaders.

Shelton Doubles Through Crain

Kenneth Shelton opened with a raise to 30,000 before Eric Crain reraised to 100,000. This was enough to put Shelton all in and he made the call.

Shelton: {A-Spades}{10-Spades}
Crain: {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}

Crain held the lead with a dominant ace but the board fell {3-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Spades}{K-Spades} to give Shelton a come from behind flush to double up to 210,000. Crain slips back to 435,000.
