John Myung Adds More Chips From a Player

John Myung and a player get all in preflop with Myung's opponent on the ropes holding A-8 versus Myung's A-9. The flop is clean for Myung, K-5-3. The turn is a ten and the river a jack to give Myung the hand and his opponent's chip stack.

Myung adds another 10,000 to his stack and sits at 41,000.

Alan Snow Climbs the Leaderboard

The flop came {A-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {4-Diamonds} for Alan "Einstein007" Snow and his opponent. After some action, both players went on to see the turn, the {8-Hearts}. Snow called his opponent's all-in for 16,000, holding the {A-Spades} {4-Clubs}. His opponent sheepishly turned over the {Q-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} for a stone bluff. After a meaningless river and a 25,000-chip pot, Snow moved to over 34,000 chips and into the top of the leaderboard.

Pesek Eliminates an Opponent

Michael Pesek called an all-in from the player in the cutoff with {8-Diamonds} {8-Spades}. His opponent held {A-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds}. The flop came {6-Spades} {6-Diamonds} {5-Clubs}. Pesek turned a set and ended his opponent's tournament when the {8-Clubs} fell on the turn. The river was a meaningless {2-Hearts}, and Pesek increased to 16,000 chips.

Yang History

World Champion Jerry Yang opened the betting on this particular hand, making it 1,000 to skate. J.C. Tran put in a reraise to 3,000, and another player moved all in behind them from the cutoff for a total of 6,800. Yang was covered by the bet, and he and Tran both called. The cards were turned up:

Yang: {A-Spades} {7-Spades}
Tran: {K-?} {K-?}
Cutoff: {A-?} {K-?}

The board ran out {5-Hearts} {3-Spades} {8-Clubs} {9-Spades} {9-Clubs} . Tran's kings held up, and he took care of two players, including last year's Main Event champion.

Hamby Trounces Deuces

Jared Hamby had an opponent all in and was dominating his opponent's pocket deuces with his pocket kings. The board didn't help the deuces out and Hamby was able to eliminate the player and bump his chip stack to 10,600.

Master of Who?

Mike Michnik just snagged Men Nguyen for the second time today.

Michnik raised it up to 750 before the flop, and The Master made the call. The flop brought {Q-?} {9-?} {5-?} with two hearts. Nguyen checked, Michnik continued out for 1,000, and Nguyen made the call.

The turn paired the board, {Q-?} , and Michnik bet 1,500 when he was checked to again. This time, Men The Master put in a check-raise to 3,500, leaving himself about 2,000 behind. Michnik moved all in, and Nguyen open-mucked his {K-?} {9-?} .

For the second time in just a couple hours, Mike Michnik drags in a nice pot at the expense of The Master.

Furst Doubles Up and Out

After doubling up through an opponent with {A-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} against pocket jacks, Rafe Furst found himself all in again very shortly after.

This time Furst held {6-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} and his opponent the {Q-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds}. His opponent flopped an eight and it was good enough to hold up to eliminate Furst.
