Two Games at Once

A player over on table #34 in Brasilia was chatting it up with some lady folks when they stopped by to see him. The player wasn't involved in a big hand, but was taking some extra time to act when it was his turn. The ladies certainly weren't your ugly ducklings and one could see why he was distracted.

This went on for a few moments before the dealer chimed in, "Let's concentrate on one game at a time here, guys."

The players at the table all got a kick out of this and then the ladies moved on.

A Gust of Wind and You're Off

Gusten Sjoberg has just eliminated another player after a perfect river card dropped for him. It completed the board as {2-?} {5-?} {6-?} {4-?} {7-?}.

Sjoberg had {3-?} {3-?} meaning he completed a straight whereas his opponent had {7-?} {7-?} making top set on the river. All the chips went in and the rest is history.

Sjoberg up to 66,000 now.

Just the Nuts

Jennifer Tilly just turned the nuts, and then rivered them again, when her {A-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds} filled a Broadway straight and made a flush on a board of {J-Hearts} {2-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds}. She is up to 14,300.

Fred Goldberg Eliminated

Fred Goldberg was eliminated when he was all in preflop with two other players. The board ran {J-Spades} {7-Clubs} {3-Hearts} {5-Spades} {K-Diamonds}, with Goldberg holding pocket tens. Brian "ZBT" Horton turned over pocket aces and the other player in the hand held pocket nines.

Gus Eliminates Another

Gus Hansen called an opponent's all-in on a board of {J-Diamonds} {8-Spades} {6-Spades} {K-Spades} with Gus holding {7-Spades} {3-Spades} for a baby flush and his opponent with {Q-Hearts} {J-Spades} for top pair and a flush draw.

The river was the {9-Diamonds}, eliminating the player from the field and giving Gus 46,000 in chips.

Ramdin Makes a Big Push

Victor Ramdin just jumped to 80,000 chips. According to Ramdin, he turned top two pair and a player shoved all in on him with complete air. Ramdin made the call and won the pot, eliminating the player and moving up to 80 dimes.
