Brian Tatum Doubles Through Paul Lieu

Paul Lieu raised to 15,000 from the small blind, Brian Tatum reraised to 35,000 from the big blind and Lieu called. The flop was {K-Spades} {9-Hearts} {7-Clubs}. Lieu checked, Tatum bet 30,000 and Lieu called. The turn was the {A-Clubs}. Lieu checked, Tatum bet out again, Lieu moved all in and Tatum called all in for less.

Lieu {K-Diamonds} {8-Clubs}

Tatum {A-Hearts} {K-Hearts}

The river was the {Q-Hearts} and Tatum dragged the pot, doubling up to 500,000. Lieu was left with 340,000.

Bernard Brady Eliminated

Larry Wright raised to 17,000 from late position and Bernard Brady called from the small blind as did the big blind player.

The flop came {K-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} and action checked to Wright. He bet 25,000 and only Brady called.

When the {2-Diamonds} hit the turn, Brady checked and Wright fired a bet 100,000. Brady moved all in for 311,000 total and Wright made the call. The players showed:

Brady: {A-Hearts} {K-Hearts}
Wright: {4-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds}

The turn fell the {5-Diamonds} and Wright's flush was best. He eliminated Brady and climbed to just over the 1,000,000 chip mark.

Paul Kristoffersson Eliminated

Paul Kristoffersson and Robert Ford got it all in on a flop of {7-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} {6-Diamonds}. Kristoffersson turned over {A-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds}, but Ford had flopped a full house with {6-Clubs} {6-Hearts}. The turn was the {10-Spades}, the river was the {10-Diamonds} and Kristoffersson was eliminated, while Ford's stack grew to 1,202,000.

Chau Do Eliminated

A short-stacked Chau Do moved all in for 82,000 and was called by Kido Pham. The players showed:

Do: {A-Hearts} {10-Diamonds}
Pham: {A-Diamonds} {A-Clubs}

Do improved on the board of {10-Hearts} {9-Spades} {3-Hearts} {J-Clubs} {2-Spades} but not enough to best Pham's aces.

Coda: Aleksandr Rasic

Aleksandr Rasic, the player who couldn't find his stack for the first thirty-five minutes of the current level, has been eliminated from the tournament in unusual fashion. He folded hand after hand at his table, his stack slowly dwindling chip by chip. As he got super short, he went to the floor supervisor's table to check where the next pay jump would be (288th place). At that time, 292 players remained. Rasic began to take a lot of time to make every decision, to the point where a floor was summoned to the table and permanently stationed there. He gave Rasic decreasing amounts of time to make his decision on each hand, to the point where Rasic was given only ten seconds to make a decision before a ten-second clock was called on him.

Rasic had a mere 2,000 chips left in his stack when an announcement was made over the P.A. system that the players had reached the next pay jump. He immediately pushed all in for his last 1,000 (after the 1,000 ante) and got some protection when a player behind him, Kyle Carlston, raised to 20,000. Everyone else folded.

Rasic: {Q-Clubs} {10-Diamonds}
Carlston: {7-Hearts} {7-Spades}

Surprisingly, it was a race for Rasic -- one that he lost when the board came {7-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} {3-Spades} {4-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} to make a set of sevens for Carlston against Rasic's pair of queens.

Rasic is definitely out now, having just squeaked into the next pay jump.

Radoja Runs Into Monster

Just before the break, Mark Radoja and Eric Bremond saw a flop of {K-Clubs}{8-Spades}{Q-Hearts}. Bremond checked to Radoja who moved all in at the pot, but Bremond snap-called with a cleverly played set with {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}. Radoja would need help with {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for just a bare straight draw.

The turn was the {2-Hearts} and river the {J-Spades} to leave Radoja heading to the exit.
