Scotty Nguyens One

Stud-8:

Scotty Nguyen, Steve Sung and Vanessa Rousso play a pot.

Rousso: {K-Clubs} {A-Clubs} {3-Clubs} {3-Diamonds}
Nguyen: {7-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} {Q-Spades} {6-Hearts}
Sung: {8-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} {4-Diamonds}

Nguyen had the bring in and Steve Sung raised with Rousso and Nguyen calling. Rousso took the lead in the action on 4th when she bet her ace, getting both calling.

On 5th, she bet again, Nguyen called and the newly braceleted Steve Sung folded. Both Rousso and Nguyen checked 6th street before Nguyen bet when it was checked to him on 7th.

Rousso folded and Nguyen said, "What?! What you got baby?"

Rousso quietly said, "A pair of threes."

He replied "I had you..." before flipping over {8-Hearts} {7-Hearts} {4-Hearts} for an eight-high flush and 8-7-6-4-2 for the low.

Rivered Rheem?

No Limit:

With the board reading {4-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds}, the cutoff checked and Chino Rheem bet 1,400 but was now check-raised to 5,000. Rheem made the call and the action proceeded to the {A-Diamonds} river. The cutoff bet 6,000 and Rheem folded, only to be flashed Kd-Xd for the nuts.

Rheem is on about 40,000.

Ivey Confounds Fish

PLO:

With the board reading {A-Hearts} {J-Clubs} {6-?} {9-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} it looked as though Phil Ivey had reraised all in against Dave 'Devilfish' Ulliott.

Ulliott looked very displeased saying, "I have {Q-?} {Q-?} {8-?} here..."

He folds though and the Ivey bulldozer goes on...

Greenstein Doubles Up

Stud:

Barry Greenstein was in for his last thousand or so chips against Richard 'Chufty' Ashby though neither of them had anything to start with.

Greenstein: {4-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} {J-Clubs} {10-Spades} {A-Diamonds} {A-Clubs} X
Ashby: {10-Hearts} {8-Spades} {5-Spades} {9-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} {8-?}

Ashby needed a jack on 7th but could only manage a pair of eights and Greenstein doubled up his meager stack.

Watt Action!

A raise preflop sees Tony G reraising behind to 2,000 before Roland De Wolfe makes it 7,200. Michael Binger tanked and folded and then Mike 'SirWatts' Watson moved all in behind. The initial raiser folded, Tony G shoved and Roland also pushed.

Tony G: {K-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} {9-Clubs}
Roland De Wolfe: {A-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} {J-Hearts}
Mike Watson: {A-Clubs} {A-Spades} {2-Hearts} {7-Diamonds}

The board came {4-?} {5-?} {4-?} {6-?} {8-?}, Tony G was eliminated as the other two chopped his stack with aces up.

Michael Binger said, "I had {K-?} {K-?} {7-?} {3-?}...If only I played worse..."

Phil Ivey Doubles through Eric Froehlich

No-Limit Hold'em:

Eric Froehlich opened for 1,300, Phil Ivey moved all in for 11,000 from the button and Froehlich made the call.

Ivey {A-Hearts} {Q-Clubs}
Froehlich {Q-Spades} {Q-Diamonds}

Ivey paired his ace when the flop came down {A-Spades} {J-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} . E-Fro couldn't catch a queen or runners on the {3-Clubs} turn or the {6-Spades} river and Ivey doubled to 22,000. Froehlich, though, is still well above average with 52,000.

Sorel studies Super/System

Stud-8:

Sorel Mizzi (X) (X) {3-Spades} {A-Spades} {J-Hearts} {3-Hearts} (X)
James Van Alstyne (X) (X) {2-Spades} {5-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} (X)

We picked the hand up on fifth street, Sorel Mizzi leading out with a bet. James Van Alstyne raised, Mizzi reraised and Van Alstyne called. Mizzi check-called a bet from Van Alstyne on sixth street and both players checked seventh.

Mizzi showed {A-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} and won the high half with aces up while Van Alstyne took the low with {7-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {3-Clubs} for a 7-6-5-3-2 low.
